ONE VINTAGE 1929 TUBE PRE-AMPLIFIER WESTERN ELECTRIC ERA, with a 227 MESH PLATE TUBE with goodEMISSION, a 227 is the same as a 484 tube except the 484 has a 3 volt fil. And the 27 has a 2.5 volt fil. The tube socket is marked 484. ALSO PLEASE NOTE THIS PRE-AMP MUST BE POWERED UP BY ANOTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE, IT WOULD NEED THE. VOLTAGE AS WELL AS THE PLATE VOLTAGE. THE TRANSFORMER IS WORKING. THIS TYPE PRE-AMPLIFIER WAS USED WITH HIGH POWER AMPLIFIERS WITH 250 OUTPUT TUBES or the 182 output tubes.
