Used in very clean condition Univox U255 Vintage Tube combo Amp Dual with 12 inch speakers in vertical tall cabinet. These Amps are not known to be very loud, but do have very sweet or dirty tone as dialed in.. The preamp tubes are 2-12AX7, 1-12AT7. The output tubes are 2- 6973 which reissue tubes are available. Tremolo tube socket was tightened and seems to be ok. Has Tremolo and Reverb. Large but not too heavy. There are no bottom plates or cages included but the power cords are. Original speaker grill cloth on sides have a few stains still in excellent condition. Front center speaker grill cloth replaced with new. Case has been cleaned and detailed inside and out. There are minor former blemishes on case as seen in listing photos and YouTube video’s. The amplifiers have been rebuilt and serviced with new electrolytic filter capacitors and all old wax tubular capacitors replaced with new ceramic capacitors. All tubes replaced with vintage tubes that tested strong. The volume, Treble and Bass controls on each amplifier have been cleaned with Deoxit. The speakers have been inspected and cleaned of all dust bunnies. The left and right 4 speakers have been replaced with new speakers. The power cord has been replaced with a new white power cord that is in excellent condition. A little about me. It is my passion to bring you the very finest restoration I can. My quest to explore, diagnose, repair and service electronic and mechanical devices. Began when I was 7 years old. I’d get up very early, everyday in the Summer and on Saturday mornings during the school year. I’d take my Huffy bicycle. Around TV service and electronic repair store rubbish areas. I’d hit the trash cans of neighbors, industrial and retail centers, collecting interesting. Specimens of electronic chassis and motor driven gizmos, to dissect, study and organize. I originally took this to my repair tech [back in 2006] and he replaced a defective choke from another one of my Quad II parts unit. He measured the filter capacitor and found one side a bit low. He added a ten MFD cap to it. After those repairs he ran the amplifier on the bench for at least an hour then ran frequency scans. The results are enclosed. A RCA adapter was made for this unit. I then never used the amp and it sat for over 10 years. I recently pulled it out and found it powered up just fine however no sound so I took it to repair tech Doug at Audio Specialties in Portland as my original repair tech has retired. Up for sale, a 1984 Marshall JCM800 4104 2×12 tube amplifier in exceptional, 100% original condition and in good working order, featuring the original nigh immaculate custom white elephant tolex. This early vertical input JCM800 head shares many similarities to the earlier JMP and can deliver the thick crunch, sizzle, and power for which the 800 series is known. And the inclusion of the Master Volume allows for greater control over the saturation point and overall volume. Biased to perfection with a pair of Sovtek 6550s, this Marshall is ready for stage and studio use. The circuit is all original, with the full compliment of Drake transformers that date to 1984, each with its original paper sticker on the transformer bell. All of the original Wima capacitors are intact in the preamp. The chassis itself is stunningly clean with very little oxidation, and the pristine nature of the amp extends to the back panel and faceplate, which has its full compliment of original knobs. The original Celestion G12M-70 speaker pair is intact, with “LR” date stamps on the frames which translate to November of 1983. The amp retains the original molded plastic feet, corners, and handle caps, as well as the large “Marshall” logo and piping on the black grillcloth. The original white elephant tolex is stunningly well-kept, and as the photos can attest, this amp would present very well in a studio environment. RARE, ORIGINAL, WORKS GREAT! High Quality, American Made, Point-to-point wiring. This is a VINTAGE 1976 SANO SUPER NOVA STEREO TUBE AMPLIFIER. Designed to be used for guitar and I suppose accordion. It is complete and functions properly. Controls and inputs have been cleaned, no scratchy pots. Everything works as it should. The cabinet covering shows light wear. The grill cloth is in great shape. This is a solid, road worthy beast; weighs 65 lbs.. Each channel has volume, treble and bass controls. The stereo channel has a second input stage with treble volume and bass volume controls. There are push buttons to engage the reverb and tremolo for each/either/both channels. Made in the U. I honestly believe I was the first person to ever open the back of this amplifier. Nothing has been touched for 44 years. Original transformers, speakers, pots, electrical components, tubes, etc. From what I can tell the amp is completely original with the exception of one of the knobs. Power amp tube lineup… 2-GE 12AU7, Westinghouse 5U4GB rectifier, 2-GE 8417 power tubes. The preamp tubes are also all original… One United Electron 6FQ7 and the balance are USA General electric 9 pins (2-12AX7′s and 2-12AU7′s or 12AT7′s). This has the original 2 prong cord. The side of the fuse holder is damaged and you should consider replacing it if/when you decide to upgrade to a grounded power cord. The speakers are original to the amplifier. Square magnet, Eminence made, 67-7548 codes, so made the 48th week of 1975. Look like they could easily handle 50 watts a piece. This is definitely a clean amp. And I’m saying clean all the way up the volume dial. The 8417 power tubes are designed for high fidelity and that is exactly what you get. Full bass, rich midrange and crystal clear highs. Serious Jazz, acoustic electric and classic country players will love this amp. I would guess it puts out 50-60 watts. Rock and rollers should also consider this amp. This would make a great foundation for pedals if you want your sound to remain constant at all volumes. The tremolo and reverb are very well designed and rival that of the best Fender, Traynor or Ampeg from the same era. That is a bargain. This item is heavy and will require extra time and care to package. I never use UPS. Old electronics are scratched, worn, chipped, cracked, dirty, dusty, stained, ugly, tinkered with, missing parts, etc. The exteriors have wear that includes cuts, holes, tears, scuffs, missing stitching, missing or replaced feet and knobs. In the course of servicing over the years, they typically do not have all original components. Old electronics typically hum and have scratchy controls. As a basic test I have operated this amp for at least 4 hour recently and it did not fail, smoke, blow fuses, etc. Typically easy and inexpensive to maintain, you should be aware, old electronic require maintenance. Old electronic can fail at any time. We will work through the claim together until things are right.
