These are completely rebuilt vintage Allen Organ C3 amplifiers that are in excellent working condition. Plug & Play ready, comes with all working tubes as seen for each amplifier and power plugs. They are quiet, punchy, with a wide soundstage, strong bass and have easily outperformed many challengers in my listening room including vintage Macintosh 225, 240, etc. These amplifiers are highly rated in the audiophile community. Vintage AKAI M-8 Left & Right 6BQ5 Tube Amplifiers. The amplifiers were tested in the recorder and got power and sound output with the microphone jacks. Both AV meters were tested and working. The sound was a little jumpy/scratchy and the volume knob on the right amplifier feels loose – not turning quite right and probably needs replacement. The tubes have not been tested outside of power and sound testing. The faces on both are in good condition with some light wear and dust. There is some oxidation on some of the metal parts on the back. We are including the transformer and some cords including the AC cord that originally went with the recorder. They do not connect directly to the amps but thought they might be useful. Please see all the photos. The amplifiers each measure 12-1/2 x 5-1/2 x 5. What you are looking at is a set of very cool looking retro mono blocs tube amps pulled from a Roberts 770X reel to reel. Condition is VG with original tubes. Units were removed and converted to mono amps to be used in a stereo system. Only volume and power. There are no tops, feet or cases. What you see is what you get. Apart from that we put work into every unit, specializing in cosmetics which ranges from cleaning pots/switches to polishing the windows on receivers and conditioning the wood on wooden cases and speakers. In good cosmetic condition, has some scratches/marks, see pictures for details. Unit has been cleaned all around to remove as many blemishes and dirt as possible. Silver base has been polished to remove some light scratches and increase the shine. Only comes with what you see in the pictures which includes the unit itself only. Unit has been fully tested and works great for the most part apart from some red plating on one of the amps which can be seen in the video demo. This might be a very simple fix and the unit still works. One of the output tubes on the second to last picture has a broken orientation base but still works. They have been marked with black marker to show you which way to place it in (place it in facing the silver mcintosh logo). Above you’ll see both units pictured separately so you can see exactly what you’re getting with detailed pictures of each.
