Other than the tubes and one of the power cord plugs, these pristine amps appear to be all original. All of the tubes recently tested strong and they are a combination of vintage RCA and vintage Sylvania brand tubes. All of the 5881 output tubes are vintage RCA matched tubes. As the photos show, these amps are extremely clean for their age, including all of the original potted transformers. You would have a hard time finding another pair of these late 1950′s tube amps in such clean and great sounding condition. These amps comes exactly as shown in the photos with all of the tubes shown. I bought these in 2005 to build a tube audio stereo system. That system did not get built and now these original A-7s are available. Heathkit amps of the postwar era are beautiful straightforward designs that produce amazingly warm audio. The A-7 uses a 5Y3 rectifier, a 12SN7/12SL7 driver, and 12A6 output tubes. Vintage The Fisher 55-A Tube Mono Block Amplifiers Set Of 2 Restored Rare. This wonderful pair of 1950s mono block amplifiers were just restored by my tech at Voorslag Audio in Providence, RI and are performing up to spec. They are very well known for their excellent work on vintage hifi gear. You don’t see a pair of these amps come around very often. Message me with any questions. Fully restored and gone over, all tubes tested and faulty components properly replaced and all bad connections buttoned up, all tubes tested and in green. Plenty of test hours ran on them and they sound terrific.
Estate Find, older couple downsizing. They said they haven’t used the stereo in years but it was magic when they did. You get the pair of Eico HF-60 power amps. One side was professionally restored recently due to not correctly outputing audio. I’m located in Staten Island, New York. Built by Robert Judge from Judge Amps in Somerville MA, wonderful sounding, built from scratch. Each block is very heavy, especially for how small they are: about 34 pounds each. THEY ARE ONE OF A KIND, BEING RARE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. You’ll be the only one around with a pair of these, in the world, these do not exist anywhere, so, if your an audiophile tube person, or just a HI-END tube person then these are definitely for you.
