Vintage The Fisher 500C FM Tube Stereo Receiver Amplifier (Most Original Tubes). Pre owned in working condition. I assume from the age, a cleaning and deoxit could be usefull. This has many original tubes The Fisher Germany. Missing gold round knob end plate on speaker selector knob. When testing the balance knob when turned all the way to the right does not direct audio just to right speaker. Left is fine, and when balance is centered, both speakers play correctly. I assume the potentiometer knob needs deoxIT due to age and oxidation. Please see video and photos, if you have any other questions, I will try my best to answer. See pics above.

EICO HF-81 Integrated Tube Amplifier – Restoration Candidate – Working Iron. Some units are plug-and-play. This is not one of them. This EICO HF-81 is a largely original example and should be viewed as a restoration project. The transformers appear healthy, but the amplifier will require electronic servicing for stable, long-term operation. This is for someone who will selectively change parts for stability but retain the sonic character the HF-81 is famous for. Operational Status (Please Read Carefully). Powered up slowly on a Variac. Output transformers pass signal. Video included demonstrating that both channels produce output. One channel is weaker and exhibits distortion. The stronger channel distorts at high volume. Power switch (integrated into treble knob) does not function properly. Unit is likely running on original capacitors. Given its age, full recap and restoration is recommended before regular use. Tube Complement (Installed & Working). The original Eico factory installed tubes tested weak or shorted and were replaced with. Quad Sylvania EL84 / 6BQ5 – New old stock (NOS) and new in box (NIB). Tubes are functional, but the distortion issue suggests underlying circuit components (likely caps or resistors) require attention. Classic gold faceplate with vintage wear. Appears largely unmodified internally (based on current inspection). Why This Is Worth Restoring. The HF-81 is widely regarded as one of the most musical EL84 integrated amplifiers ever made. Properly restored examples command strong market value and are known for. Balanced push-pull EL84 output. Highly respected transformer set. The transformers are the heart of these units – and this one passes signal. Collector seeking original platform for rebuild. If you’re looking for a fully restored, daily-use amp, this is not that listing. If you want a strong foundation with working iron and upside potential, this is an excellent candidate. Will require recap and service. Distortion present in one channel. Power switch requires repair. See video for operational demonstration.
Both are in excellent NOS condition, and the date codes match. Although the original boxes are a little crinkled and bent up. Balanced, and results are displayed in the photos. The test result stickers will be included inside the box but not applied for any collectors who want to preserve originality. See the photos for physical / cosmetic condition. I built this amp 6 years ago, but it’s too loud for me to open it up when I play in my house. I assembled it from a kit by Boothill Amps, so the parts are high quality. You can look at his website for more information. It’s a 5-watt 5F1 “Fender Champ” circuit. The speaker is an 8-inch, 4-ohm ceramic Warehouse G8C. I bought a tube set directly from Dave at Boothill Amps because he said that a USA-made tube rectifier would be more reliable and keep the amp at the proper voltages. The newer modern production 5Y3 tubes run at higher (hotter) voltages. Keep this in mind if you plan on replacing the 5Y3 rectifier (far left tube, V3) and/or the 6V6 power tube (middle tube, V2). He sent me a USA-made RCA 5Y3 (rectifier) tube and a USA-made RCA 6V6 power tube. These are vintage tubes, but I’ve read that rectifier tubes last a long time. The V1 preamp tube (far right) is a brand new modern Russian-made TOL-SUNG AX7. I will include these three tubes with the sale. The transformers I used are now difficult to find: a USA-made ClassicTone 40-18019 (Power Transformer) and a ClassicTone 40-18115 (Output Transformer). The pine cabinet is unbranded and came with the kit. It’s well-made and covered with raw (unlacquered) tweed. See photos and video for details.
