Here’s a very early Carvin tube amplifier from around 1950. It appears to be a Model 205, but I cannot be certain. The tubes are two 12J5, two 6V6GT, and a 6X5. It has a 12 inch permanent magnet speaker. Probably manufactured by Magna/Magnatone in California. The speaker code is 371041 (41st week of 1950). One pot is readable with a code of 304048 (48th week of 1950). The amp has an updated 3 prong grounded power cord. The two 12J5 tubes are “new old stock” and the other tubes test good. The amp has a loud hum when you turn it on, so it likely needs filter caps. If you are into early Carvin stuff, or early vintage tube amps in general, this is a great find. Priced to sell quickly, so no offers please. Contact me beforehand to work out any other arrangements. No checks of any kind.
