Heathkit Receiver AA-100 Vintage Tube works neat face lighting. Cosmetically the receiver is in good condition for a unit 60 years old. Check out the photos to judge for yourself. I plugged a CD player into Aux2 and attached speakers and it worked with plenty of volume. The sound is slightly distorted but not bad since the capacitors are really old and the switches need to be cleaned. There is a small dent in the back of the chassis (see picture) that could be easily straightened if you remove the fuse holder. Check out the catalogue page pictured that describes this vintage receiver. This is an excellent candidate for a refurbishment and a fascinating piece of audio history marking the time when HI FI moved from monaural to stereo. There is a provision to control stereo separation and mixed-channel speaker to provide “center fill”. I will pack it securely with a heavy duty box lined with foam and the receiver wrapped in bubble wrap. Heathkit AA-151 Vintage Tube Stereo Power Amplifier. I recently picked this up from a local CT estate with some other quality electronics. I’ve only tested this for power. It may be missing one tube in the rear as you can see in the pictures. It is very clean on the inside, no dust or residue at all. Appears to have been lightly used if at all. The Heathkit label is missing from the front and it does have some minor scratches on it. The power cord is clean and in good shape. There is no owners manual with this. I did try it with some JBL’s but got no sound. If there is a trick to connecting 8 ohm speakers please let me know and I’ll try again. Otherwise it may need the missing tube. This listing includes a beautiful vintage Heathkit AA-121 stereo vacuum tube amplifier in exceptionally clean and electrically restored condition. Some of the work that was done to this amplifier includes: all of the tubes recently tested strong, the EL-34 / 6CA7 output tubes were matched and balanced, bad and out of spec capacitors were replaced, out of spec resistors were replaced, all solder joints have been inspected and any loose connections were re-soldered. As the photos show, the electrical work was done very well. As the photos also show, this vintage amp is very clean, inside and out, with only minor cosmetic wear. The original cage is also in fantastic shape. This amplifier has been well cared for over the years and there is virtually no corrosion anywhere on it. The power cord is in good condition and is not brittle. All of the lettering on the face and chassis is clear and easy to read. The two back feet, on the bottom of this amp, have been replaced with heavy-duty feet to better support the substantial weight of the three transformers. All of the tubes shown are included with this amp. Three of the El-34 tubes were made in Great Britain, and I believe them to be Mullards. I believe the fourth EL-34 tube is a vintage GE tube. Again, all of the tubes have recently tested strong and the output tubes are matched based on recent test results. This is a beautiful example of a vintage Heathkit tube amplifier in good working condition and it comes as shown in the photos. I brought this amplifier up over the course of 2 days. I’m showing it at full B+ and also showing Bias Voltage. All the Capacitors seem to be holding fine right now, But who knows for how long. None of the plates of the EL84 Tubes are glowing red, Everything seems to be fine for right now. This unit runs at 117v and can not be ran at any higher Voltage. So you will need a Variac or some form of a Multi-tap transformer that provides 117v at max. This unit has a very pretty faceplate and knobs, But it is missing stock feet and top cover plate as it was used and protected in a Console. This unit has a Very slight bend in the Chassis that will not be noticed from the front and certainly not if you make a case for the unit. The bow is very slight, But I like to disclose all my findings. This is a Very underrated stereo amplifier that really sounds very nice. I personally think it’s a better amp than some more sought after amps. And don’t forget, This amplifier will only go up in Value, So no worries, You’ll always have your Value you here. I bought this as part of an estate many years ago and never used it. I had a Mohawk and Marauder to go with it. Those may be offered later. Good HV showing on the meter.
