Harman Kardon Citation ll amplifier as pictured. Looks clean despite the paint on the transformers and. One resistor looks black. The diodes need replacing. The taped wire is connected to “test”. I put in a fresh 8amp slo-blo fuse. The selector switch/knob is smooth and has been cleaned. Original power cord looks good. This is used Harman Kardon A300 Stereo integrated tube amplifier. It includes the metal cabinet, the owner’s manual and a mounting template (to install the amplifier in a wood cabinet). It is in very good physical condition with no rust or corrosion. The owner’s manual lists a person who lived in Colorado, so it seems that the amplifier has been in Colorado its entire life. The front metal panel is not perfect, there are areas where the gold finish has rubbed off (volume control area) and a silver color now shows; see the front panel photos. It works well and all the tubes test good on a Sencore TC154 emissions type tube tester. The technical specifications (on the first page of the owner’s manual) indicate that this amplifier produces 15 watts per channel of music power output (12 watts per channel continuous power output). The owner’s manual also contains a schematic diagram and a parts list. The control pots and switches were sprayed with contact cleaner. It was hooked up to a CD player and small bookshelf speakers for initial testing: It sounded really nice with all the tone controls working properly. It was also connected to Infinity RSb speakers, fed from a CD player (playing a Pat Metheny CD) and it really came alive with bass punch and high frequency reproduction! This amp considered to be one of the best tube or any amplifiers ever made. This particular Citation II was sent to a local shop for a complete serviced and. Has been some modification with the addition of the heat sinks in which the repair man said it is a plus. I have been using the amp for about a year and it has always been working properly as Citation II should and never had any issue. Both channels work as does the bias adjustment meter. It is in great working order producing rich clear warmth powerful tube sound of more than 60 watts each channel. Cosmetically, it is in still fairly good condition, no dent or dent, just scratches as in pictures due to age. If you do not mind the scratches, this amp is one of the best and most powerful one to have in which it will power up any speakers out there. This is a Harman Kardon A300 Integrated Stereo Tube Amplifier. It uses 7408 Output tubes – a variant of a 6V6. All the tubes were tested on a Sencore TC154 emissions type, tube tester and passed. The testing included grid leakage and shorts. It works well now; I listened to an entire CD earlier today with no problems (distortion or red plating). It includes the owners manual (with the prior owners name on it) and a template for mounting this in a cabinet. It includes the top metal cover which is in very good shape (It looks more gray than green like the pictures show). The finish on the front face is “champagne gold”, but it is worn in some areas (like around the volume control knob and some other areas) and appears to be more silver than the champagne color. Zoom into the front face pictures. The output tubes all have a yellow “Harman Kardon” logo and appear to be original to the amplifier. The smaller tubes (4-12AX7′s and 1-12AU7) are not original to the amplifier (but have been tested and work as the should).
