Vintage Rogers HG88 Mk2 Valve Amplifier. Refurbished inside including cabinet this is what they looked like back in the day. Fully working gives nice warm sound as you would expect from a vintage amplifier. In one of the photos you will see all the components I changed to get it working. I have disconnected all of the 3 double bias capacitors because they are toast I have marked them with black tape but left them in place to preserve the amps originality. Replacement bias capacitors are fitted underneath all 6 can be seen in the photos marked with a white arrow. The replacements I used are rubicon black gate (100uf at 50v) more than capable of doing the job. Because the previous owner had been using this amplifier with worn bias capacitors it has reduced the life output valves (ecl86)they could do with replacing in the near future. I will include speaker cable of studio grade 2 x 3 metres (1.5mm) in the sale. Any overseas buyers must contact me first.. Complete Vintage Harman Kardon A50K (A500) A50K was the DIY kit version of the A500 Unit shows very nice build quality. Original Harman 7355 tubes (4) Original 12A7X tubes (4) Original 12AU7 tube (1) Complete Original Working Condition. Good Candidate for restoration / capacitor upgrade. All switches and knobs work but could use a good cleaning. Unit shows some oxidation on aluminum cover. This is a 60+ year old amplifier. It will need some love to perform like new again. Up for sale here is this vintage Bogen Challenger CHA 20 tube amplifier, circa 1960 and Made in USA. This is a mono (one-channel) amplifier. This uses two 12AX7 tubes (vintage GE), two 6V6GT output tubes (vintage GE), and a 6AX5GT rectifier tube (Bogen, I think RCA). The 12AX7s and the 6V6 tubes are tested good, and the 6AX5 works, so presumably it’s fine. This is complete with bottom cover, top cage/cover, all knobs, all tubes, and a tube cover (it only uses one). It is in very good condition, with light to moderate overall wear, but does have some rust on/around the power transformer and fuseholder especially. I brought this up on a Variac, and it does play well and sounds good. The “phono” input on the back is a line-level input suitable for a CD player or whatever, and the “MIC” input on the front is presumably a hotter input for a guitar or microphone. This has 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 16-ohm, and 70-v taps on the back, and has regular screw terminals as well as 5-pin sockets for speakers. This does play fine, but I noticed the front can capacitor (next to the rectifier) getting pretty warm. This is working right now, but you’ll need to at least replace the electrolytic caps before regular use. This would be a great winter project, and will be an amazing amp once you’re done with it.
