THE PILOT LITTLE BULB LIGHT IS BURNT, WHEN YOU TURN THE AMP ON THE LITTLE LIGHT BULB IS OUT, BUT THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS AWESOME AMPLIFIER. Heres a new YOUTUBE demo of the actual amp for sale. Great sounding vintage Traynor tube head. Lots of people mod these but i like them as is. They are right up there in power and performance with Marshalls of the same era. I owned and gigged with a twin combo version of this for years. Has reverb and tremelo. Has some cosmetic wear but still very well taken care of for a 40 plus year old amp. All pots cleaned and function well… But no tubes replaced. Well built amp all Handwired. You are looking at a Vintage’70s Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master 40 Watt All Tube Amp Head. Very similar to a Fender Bassman Blackface head. And just like a Bassman, the Bass Master is a much better guitar amp head than a bass head. The Bass Master has a very rich warm tube tone. Although originally designed as a bass head, the Traynor YBA-1 rapidly became the voice of guitar players looking for massive tone and drive from their amp throughout the 60s and 70s. The four separate inputs have been designed with varying input sensitivities allowing for radically different tones from each. By design, Channel One inputs deliver higher gain and drive than the darker and warmer Channel Two inputs. Each pair of inputs have their own highly responsive volume controls, and inputs can be stacked to allow both inputs to be blended simultaneously for that massive vintage drive tone. Four master tone controls (Treble, Bass, High and Low Range Expanders) make it easy to dial in the perfect sound. While’Treble’ and’Bass’ act as traditional tone controls, the Range Expanders function more as’Mid’ and’Presence’ Controls. Our Amp Tech serviced this amp. All pots, jacks and tube sockets were cleaned. A couple of caps were replaced. Replaced Fuse holder and fuse. You won’t have to spend any additional monies on this amp. Gig Ready on Arrival. Tolex is in very good shape. A few minor scratches and tears but still good condition. Traynor logo is missing. Instrument control bezel is very clean. All lettering is still legible. 1972 Traynor YBA-1 – Serviced and almost perfect cosmetics and a tone beast. This probably one of the nicest Traynor YBA-1 out there. If you’re here, you probably already know about these amps. The amp has all the knobs, tolex and T-moulding is in excellent condition. It’s been serviced completely with a three prong AC cord added, deactivated the ground switch and removed death cap. The service included attention to the fixed bias circuit. It’s still fixed and the next owner may want to have their tech perform a bias trimmer install. This is a vintage amp thats 44 years old. Up for sale is a rare and excellent tube amp by Traynor. This amp was originally designed to be a bass amp. But like the legendary Fender Bassman, this amplifier sounds TERRIFIC with 6 string electric guitar! This is what I use this amp for, and its amazing in its own little (or more like big) unique way! Since it was designed for bass, this amp has a 15 inch speaker. And I think the speaker gives this amp more depth and body to your single notes, more so than your typical 12 or smaller speaker amps. Possibly with the exception of many of your Fender tube amps, such as the Twin Reverb and Deluxe reverb, which this amp sounds very reminiscent of, to my ears. Note: the original speaker has been replaced by a newer 15. I dont know what the new speaker is, and I dont really want to have to open up the amp if I dont have to. All I know about it is that it sounds GREAT! Add to your palette the top end sparkle that only amps with valves can give you, and youve got one complete sonic solution in your repertoire! All haughty descriptive words aside, this thing can get LOUD quick! It can definitely handle all but the largest venues with ease. Another cool feature of this amp is that there are 2 input sections to this amp, one seeming to have a little higher gain than the other, and each having a hi and low input jack, for a total of 4 inputs! So you can jumper one input side into the other using a patch cable, and really attain all of the tonal capabilities and options of this superb unit! This famous vintage awesome sounding Traynor bass amp is a true collection piece! It is all tube and all point to point hand-wired old school construction that truly is built like a tank which makes it ready for tonal power!
