Classic Blonde Tolex with Gold Hardware. Looks and Sounds AWESOME! The Palomino V32 Amp is a hot little single 12 combo amplifier that kicks serious butt. It’s an all-tube, 30W class A amp featuring four EL-84 tubes in the power section. Very solid construction with searing tone that will get you in the ZZ Top, AC/DC, Led Zep, Ted Nugent, Allman Bros, classic blues-rock frame of mind in an instant. Plug an LP or a 335 into the V32 combo and you won’t be able to suppress a smile when you hear this amp perform. White Tolex covering with wheat grille gives the Palomino V32 a boutique look. 4 – El-84 power tubes. 3 – 12AX7A preamp tubes. Bass, mid, treble, and presence tone controls. Great Sounding 2-Channel Amp. It has the required class A attributes such as attack sensitivity, and a really amazing clean sparkly tone in channel 1. The thing I find interesting about this amp is that it is very good at lower than bedroom levels on both channels, especially the clean channel. It still retains the sparkle with the controls barely above a whisper. Channel 2 just rips your head off with higher gain settings. The dirty channel has the best distortion I have heard from anything besides a Marshall. It can go from mild bluesy grit to heavy metal. I know it is only 30watts, but it sounds and feels every bit as loud as the 60 watter. Complete Package with Footswitch! Our Amp Tech went through this amp and serviced it. Everything functions and works correctly. Gig Ready on Arrival! Some scratches, scuffs and minor tears in the Tolex. Dripping with “Mojo” It is used. Look at the pictures closely. This is a working Chassis… This was powered on and was a fully functional super powerful SVT amp… Please view the pics.. But all the caps and connections are solid.. Even if you want to build a small pre-amp from another amp… This has a wire harness type jack that you can tap into.. The potentiometers are for Bias’ ing the amp power tubes.. This is 300 watts of pure tube power… I could see something amazing happening out of this project… This is a heavy item… What you see is what you get… This would have taken 6 x 6550 tubes… Google the SVT Bass Amp Schematic. Thanks and all the best,, tom. The item “Vintage Ampeg SVT 1970′s Chassis ONLY PARTS Tube Amplifier Bass Guitar Head Amp” is in sale since Tuesday, April 17, 2018. This has been gone over by a tech with the capacitors and resistors replaced and any weak tubes. It is working and loud. It has no hum at all until you plug a guitar cable into it and then it has a low hum/buzz on both inputs with more of a hum on input 1 than on input 2. Hum does get louder as you turn the volume up. You can see the parts that were replaced in the bags I show and the old parts are included. Also a new feed power wire has been put on. Cosmetically some of the covering needs glued back down and there are some stains. Quite a bit of wear to the lettering on the metal piece with the inputs and controls. Base is 20″ wide x 8 3/4″ deep. Height is 17 1/4 with the carrying handle folded down. Age is late 1950′s to early 1960′s. You can still read some of the Gibsonette lettering on the metal plate. I will be listing several of these with this one being the best looking. Tubes are a 5751 or 8513. Pair of 6V6 and a 5Y3GT. Speaker numbers are 220844 10J11 V1310. As an owner of a Gibsonette, the Gibson model number is GA-8. Basically this amp is a double GA-5 or a tweed Champ on steroids. It is a dual single ended Class A tube amp with 6V6. One of the best recording amps ever. Also great for amplified harmonica players. I believe the speaker code dates this one to 1958. The items I sell Might or Might not be from a smoke free home. Up for sale is my vintage audiophile CounterPoint SA-7 Dual Channel PreAmplifier. It is made in Beverley Hills, California, USA. This pre-amp is in great condition. I recently had it serviced with the power supply being replaced, all knobs and connections cleaned, as well as repair of several circuits that had some degradation. I have pictured the repair order for it in this listing. The 4′tubes’ are Mullard and RCA brands and are fairly new. It sounds really good with that’warm tubey’ sound that people enjoy so much from vinyl. It operates flawlessly with no static, hiss, hums or pops. Super quiet when on and in-use. Sound is smooth, warm and quiet. It has jacks for phono, CD, tape, and tuner. This is a very nice piece of audiophile equipment. Comes with original power cord. Very minor notes: The rear panel connections are rearranged differently than in the diagram on the back, but does not affect anything other than being a little confusing. Also, the’gain’ knob is sensitive and does not need to be turned up very loud to get it pumping. I will double box this unit and package well. Please, feel free to contact me with any questions. This is not “a” Williamson Amplifier, this is “THE” Williamson Amplifier. The British made original whose circuit design became the de facto standard for push-pull HiFi amps. Complete with power supply unit and umbilical cord. A few resistors and capacitors appear to be changed out, but largely these units are original and in remarkable shape for their age. They came from the estate of a local old school TV repairman. There simply are none available to compare. I can’t even find a picture of a complete unit like the one I have here. This should be in a museum or serious collection. I have not plugged these in, and I will not. This is something that needs to be carefully restored by an expert. I have no reason to believe that the amp doesn’t work, as it was found hooked up to a speaker. I will listen to serious offers, but would also just appreciate advice on how to determine a value for this. The amp can also be inspected in person in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Thanks for looking, I can take more detailed pictures as needed. The item “The Williamson Amplifier, Vintage Original British Made KT66 Tube Amp” is in sale since Sunday, April 29, 2018. Here’s what I’ve done. 1 Installed new KTLA25 Authenticaps in the power supplies (increasing filter capacitance for better bass). 2 Upgraded the original 16uf power supply cap to a 33uf 600v solens cap. 3 The amp originally ran EL-37s, but those are out of this world expensive. So, now the amp is set up to run 6L6GCs. To do this, you must change the cathode bias resistors accordingly. I installed high quality Ohmite resistors and now the amp runs 6L6GCs at about 60% of their Max Dissipation=longer tube life. 4 Installed 100ohm screen resistors to better preserve tube life and prevent arcing at startup. 5 The original way to bias the amp required you to use a 1/4 jack connected to your multi meter. When you inserted it to test the MA, you essentially closed the circuit. I’ve installed 10ohm resistors across each jack so that when a 1/4 is inserted, the resistor sees the voltage instead of the partnering tube getting all of it. To bias the amp now, you insert a 1/4 (not connected to your multi-meter), and then measure the voltage across the resistor, and then balance the tubes accordingly. Hopefully that makes sense. It is very important that you take note of this modification before purchasing the amp. 6 Upgraded power cord, which includes a very nice Marinco connector. 7 Replaced the bias pots with high quality CTS pots. 8 All coupling caps (which the signal goes through) have been upgraded to the very, very nice (and semi-expensive) Jupiter Red Astrons. I’m a guitar player and I strongly believe in the tone of caps. These things are killers. 9 I also upgraded some other caps on the board to Obbiligato PIOs. 10 The 12AX7 sockets have been replaced with Belton 9 pins. The originals weren’t in great shape. I stripped it down and repainted it. These cages are rare FYI. That’s a long list, but pretty much, anything I replaced, I replaced with the best quality stuff I could afford. And it really shows in this amp. A Matching quad of Tung Sol 6L6GC STRs (my favorite of new production 6L6GCs). I don’t have a tube tester so I can’t test them, but I do know they have about 1000 hours on them. Should provide service for some time longer. C NOS Hammond Mullard EF86s. These should provide service for quite a big longer too. D Brand new JJ GZ34s. Couple of last notes for prospective buyers. Tube amps require love, care, and maintenance. NEVER turn the amp on before the input sourceyou risk blowing the output transformers by doing so. This amp produces significant heat and should be used in a really well ventilated area. Speaking of heat, I’ve exclusively used this thing with my variac set at 117Vs instead of the normal line (122 in my area). This is HIGHLY recommended. However, it will be in the condition I’ve described; it will be in the condition shown in the photos; it will produce sound and music; and thus it won’t be DOA. FYI, mono switch and monitor gauge button have been disconnected. Link to actual youtube video of the amp from last year. LAST NOTE: I’ve owned two Dynaco ST-70s. It maintains the tube tone, but has much better dynamics and detail. Plus, the actual circuit of the knight is much more stable, using TWO rectifiers at appropriate voltages, whereas the Dynaco destroys new production rectifiers because it just simply works them too hard. This is well documented on the forums. Photos demonstrate the physical condition. I’m in Glendale, CA 91205.
