Consider how this is a very special amplifier, really a piece of music history, and not something you can find easily in a store. Then it will RETURN to the older price. SUPERB vintage VOX amp, good working condition, biased correctly etc, SOUNDS GREAT. This amp has the multivoltage type of transformer, and it thus can be used anywhere in the world. They don’t make them like this anymore…. Mullard caps, turret board, top notch workmanship, dual bias pots,’overrated’ transformers (meaning they have been built with higher specs than really needed) etc. Recapped (this has to be done every 20 years or so, or the amp’s sound will degrade and noise will increase). It has also been revalved and biased correctly. I will include all the original caps. This amp will do ANY STYLES superbly, from Chuck Berry to Gilmour to Hendrix to Clapton to AC/DC to EVH and beyond. If crank it up and you give it a decent boost, you will hear the most roaring metal sound to be found anywhere. None of that wasp in the jar, fizzy and thin preamp distortion….. This is how a guitar would sound during the 1970′s. Crank it up and be astonished at the wonderful harmonic crunch and notes so thick you can cut with a knife. The amp will be EXPERTLY packed. Leave it to me and don’t worry about a thing. Of course, the amp will be sent fully tracked and insured. I leave nothing to chance. For sale, this stunning 1978 Fender Silverface Twin Reverb 2×12 guitar amplifier combo serial number A812200 in unbelievable condition. It has just been completely refurbished by the vintage Fender experts at Pittsburgh Amplification, including new Tolex covering, grill cloth and cabinet hardware. The original hardware is included in the sale along with the original footswitch. This extremely beautiful amplifier sounds just as good as it looks. 135 ultralinear all tube watts from four 6L6 power tubes into two 12 Italian Jensen C12Ns, the epitome of loud clean. Two channels, Normal and Vibrato, each with Fender’s infamous three band EQ stack and bright switch. The Vibrato channel has footswitchable tube driven spring tank reverb and Fender’s signature opto-electric vibrato. Master volume with pull-boost. This particular amp sounds particularly good. Nice deep vibrato and clean reverb. And its looks are superb. A real amp to be proud of, the silverface Twin for the guitarist who can afford the very best. No reasonable offer refused.
