Low noise RF amplification at VHF. New in Box (NOS).

Good sound, tested on CD and vinyl. Volume, bass treble ok. There are stains inside the device but does not affect the sound quality.

Has slight surface rust all over. The screws that hold cover on were missing so I put 4 in, but not original.

VOX Custom amps offer two channels: Normal and Top Boost. Each channel is equipped with its own Volume control, and the Top Boost channel offers highly interactive Treble and Bass tone controls. Pulled from a working Clarion AC-25 Lowboy Radio. A few of the tubes are missing. What you see in the pics is what you are getting.

For sale is an Audio Research Dual 75A factory upgraded from a Dual 51 Chassis. This upgrade must have been done back in the 70s as the tubes are all US made, not USSR/Russia like in most ARC gear. The cost of these tubes alone would be likely half the total cost of the amplifier if you were to replace them.

This wasn’t serviced as it seems to be working just fine. Without even using an external antennae the unit pulled in local stations. The cat’s eye tube is working and is very cool.
