Vintage Tube Amp

Here we have a vintage Ampeg Reverbojet J-12R 18 watt tube guitar combo amplifier. Made in the USA in 1968. The J-12R has a single 12 Jensen ceramic magnet speaker. This amp is a wonderful and expressive sounding amp. Reverb and tremolo to die for. Ampeg amps always have the best reverb and tremolo sounds. From mild to spacey ambient tones. The Reverbojet is a small and portable amp that’s amazing for live or studio use. This amp has been well cared for and is in very good good condition. At some point one of the transformers has been changed. The original is included. The amp has normal wear and tear on the outside. Some tolex peeling on the bottom. Offered for sale are the vintage Sprague Bumble Bee Mylar capacitors as titled and pictured. Fully tested for both value drift and leakage. Detailed test results according to my Sencore LC75 Analyzer can be seen in the photos (in no particular order). This is a particularly nice group of caps that all measure within 10% of their rated tolerance, even though their original spec is 20%. Note: for those measuring caps with a DMM, my Fluke DMM shows these as being a few nF higher most in the. 040.043 range but I have displayed the LC75 results in this listing since it’s a calibrated purpose-built machine for analyzing capacitors to a high level of accuracy. Up for sale here is this NOS vintage Knight power transformer, for the Knight S-755 amplifier. This has no ID on it except on the bottom, where it is marked 1005821 101403 (or possibly T101403). 1005821 means it was made by Northlake Transformer on the 21st week of 1958, and 101403 is the part number. This is a big one! I tested this with 120vAC into the primary, and I measured: Thick white wires 5.05VAC. Thick green wires 6.4v. Three thin white wires 409/409/818v. Each thin white wire to the one red wire 372v, 32v, 310v. Voltages always test a bit higher without a load, so it looks like this has a 5v secondary, a 6.3v secondary, a HV secondary of around 800vCT, and some sort of extra secondary with the red wire. This is a really nice transformer, and would work great for building a tube amp. It is guaranteed to work for you. If you know which amp this goes to, please let me know. Used vintage Music Man 115 RP One Hundred 1×15 tube combo amp with footswitch. In good working condition.

Vintage 1930s Rickenbacher Electro tube guitar amp. Amp uses a 6J5, 6N7, two 6V6 and 5U4 vacuum tubes. Amp has had the filter caps and bypass caps replaced. Comes with vintage tubes. Amp does not appear to have any modifications and comes with a Utah field coil speaker that is likely to be original. Has the original tone and volume pots. Tone pot works, but is hard to turn. Since it is original it was left as-is, but fully functional. It is in good cosmetic shape for its age and sounds great. Professionally serviced by Amphole in Los Angeles.
