Danelectro Cadet 123 Vintage Tube Amp Test
Tuesday, January 12th, 20211957 Danelectro Twin Twelve Series D Model 98 Vintage 2×12 Tube Amp with Tremolo
Saturday, August 3rd, 2019Up for sale, a 1959 Danelectro Twin Twelve Series D Model 98 tube amplifier in exceptional condition and in good working order. An exceedingly clean and well preserved vintage Danelectro tube amp, the Twin Twelve boasts a two-channel circuit driven by a quartet of fresh JJ 6L6 power tubes. Channel One has tons of bass, with a muscly clean tone that quickly gains a bit of hair when you dig in, with a very rich, churning drive when you dime it out. The low end is burly and full while retaining a certain focus and punch, and the gain is positively ripping. Channel Two is more polite, with far less bass and a more glassy quality, still driving hard when you turn it up. Remolo effect works on both channels and is extremely square wave in nature, cutting through with tons of chop and enough variance in the Speed knob to go from swampy and slow to relatively fast. The circuit is clean and stock, with original CTS pots which date to early’57. The original pair of Utah alnico 12 speakers have clean 1957 date stamps on the magnets as well. The original transformers are intact, and the upper and lower chassis both have extremely clean polished aluminum, with deep brown silkscreening on the upper chassis and the full compliment of original brown molded knobs. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is fully intact too. Cosmetically, this Danelectro is a real stunner, with original gold sparkle grillcloth and a textured blonde covering on the cabinet. There is only light wear and staining on the bottom of the enclosure, and the Danelectro lucite badge is intact on the face. Danelectro DM10 1×8 All-Tube Vintage Guitar Amp 1965- Refreshed and RARE
Monday, August 27th, 2018(GREAT FOR GUITAR ENTHUSIASTS). Ok, so I have here an original Danelectro DM10 guitar Amp. It honestly sounds kind of like a Fender Champ. Not sure of the exact wattage, but I think it’s 5 watts. It’s all tube circuitry. Everything is original except the new tubes, new grill cloth, new speaker, and speaker board. When I received it 5yrs ago the speaker board was flimsy, the grill cloth was torn, and the Jensen speaker had a tear on it. New items added are. Tubes: (6V6GT) by Tube doctor, (12AX7C) X2 by Groove tubes, and a (6X4) vintage JAN GE. Celestion GBC-15 8″ “Eight 15 the label was custom printed, but it’s still a new speaker w/ the Celestion barcode on top. Installed a strong 1/2 plywood speaker board (see back pics). Fender grill cloth on front Now gives the amp a fender blonde face look! Everything works great, like it should. All pictures are the exact details you will receive. The power cord is original, but I would maybe consider replacing it with a 3 prong for safety, unless you like that. (Please see all pictures). If you dont, please let me know after sale. 1962 Danelectro Centurion Model 274 Series F Vintage Tube Amplifier 1×12, 6V6
Thursday, August 23rd, 2018Up for sale, a 1962 Danelectro Centurion Model 274 vintage 1×12 tube amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A point-to-point wired USA-made tube amp, this Dano has been fully serviced and recapped as necessary, balancing originality and functionality. Driven by a complete vintage tube compliment including a matched pair of Sylvania 6V6s, this amp has incredible headroom for its size, with rich, powerful cleans that stay defined and sparkling as you crank up the volume. When you dime out the amp you do get a touch of growl and overdrive with single coils, and naturally a P-90 or humbucker will yield a bit more grit. The vibrato works on both channels, with a waveform that has a prominent chop and good range of speeds. The circuit features new F&T filter caps and a combination of smaller Sprague and Mojo Dijon capacitors in the preamp. The original transformers are intact and the CTS pots are all present as well, dating to the 10th week of 1962. The speaker is the original alnico magnet 12 driver manufactured by Utah and dating to the 15th week of’62. In large part what gives this amp its great headroom, this speaker has a magnet that can handle far higher wattages than the roughly 15 watts pushed by the 6V6 pair. Cosmetically, this is a well cared for amp with original rough gray covering and wheat grill. The “Dan” portion of the raised Danelectro logo is still present on the face of the amp, and the polished aluminum chassis is quite clean with all of the original silkscreen lettering. There’s a touch of surface patina on the handle caps and chassis screw washers, but that’s about it. This Danelectro is fully serviced, very original, and aesthetically clean. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. 1958 Danelectro Corporal Model 32 Vintage Tube Amp 2×8 USA-Made & Serviced
Wednesday, March 28th, 2018Up for sale, a 1958 Danelectro Corporal Model 32 tube amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Recently serviced and very original, this USA-made amp features two original Rola 8 alnico speakers and a complete vintage tube set including the pair of 50C5 power tubes. Great for guitar or harmonica, this amp has a punchy, midrange forward sound that has a distinctive bark, staying surprisingly clean at lower volumes. Dime out the volume and the circuit yields a bit of compression and rich overdrive while still staying quite focused in the bass frequencies. The circuit remains largely original, with the stock capacitors in the preamp, CTS pots that date to 1958, original transformer, and a professional recap of the main power supply. The Rola speakers both have original cones and sound great, and the stamps on the edges of the frames date the speakers to 1958 too. Cosmetically, the amp is very clean and well kept, with original tolex and grillcloth that show sparingly little wear. The plexi Danelectro logo on the face of the amp is intact, and the amp has been fitted with a new leather handle. Perhaps most surprisingly is the immaculate condition of the cardboard back panel with individual portholes for each tube.
