Heathkit Receiver AA-100 Vintage Tube works neat face lighting. Cosmetically the receiver is in good condition for a unit 60 years old. Check out the photos to judge for yourself. I plugged a CD player into Aux2 and attached speakers and it worked with plenty of volume. The sound is slightly distorted but not bad since the capacitors are really old and the switches need to be cleaned. There is a small dent in the back of the chassis (see picture) that could be easily straightened if you remove the fuse holder. Check out the catalogue page pictured that describes this vintage receiver. This is an excellent candidate for a refurbishment and a fascinating piece of audio history marking the time when HI FI moved from monaural to stereo. There is a provision to control stereo separation and mixed-channel speaker to provide “center fill”. I will pack it securely with a heavy duty box lined with foam and the receiver wrapped in bubble wrap. Heathkit AA-151 Vintage Tube Stereo Power Amplifier. I recently picked this up from a local CT estate with some other quality electronics. I’ve only tested this for power. It may be missing one tube in the rear as you can see in the pictures. It is very clean on the inside, no dust or residue at all. Appears to have been lightly used if at all. The Heathkit label is missing from the front and it does have some minor scratches on it. The power cord is clean and in good shape. There is no owners manual with this. I did try it with some JBL’s but got no sound. If there is a trick to connecting 8 ohm speakers please let me know and I’ll try again. Otherwise it may need the missing tube. Heathkit SB-220 Linear Amplifier. This is an all complete unit with Original Heathkit Assembly Manual. Inside has 2 x 3-500Z tubes. Bought his a a recent hamfest and original owner said it was still working. Being so old I suggest having this unit gone through by a tech to make sure everything is good. I have not tested this or even power it up. Unit appears to be all stock and original. There is also a small little dent/ding on the top cover which is hardly noticeable in pictures above. Heathkit AA-100 Vintage Tube Amplifier – Very Beautiful Condition. The Amplifier Audio output is terrific from both Left and Right. Sound is very rich and clear, very nice bass notes, no distortion observed. Although the unit sounds great, all switched, lights, inputs, outputs work the unit is very old and in original condition. This means at this age the unit would benefit greatly by having caps upgraded. There are also some great mods for this unit for those who are into that. No expense was spared in the complete restoration of these wonderful amplifiers. Comes with all good vintage vacuum tubes, no Russian or Chinese junk. All capacitors replaced with only the best quality audio caps, as well as all resisters, tube sockets, speaker connectors, and switches. The only issue I can see is one of the rectifier tube sockets must be loose. I sometimes have to touch one rectifier in order to get it to light. This is a minor issue in the overall condition of these high quality amplifiers. Sound is very clear, and very strong. Tubes are (2) EL84 (Hammond) outputs, 6AN8 (RCA) preamp, 6CA7 (Fisher, Great Britain) rectifier. 10″ x 7″ x 5 and weighs about 11 lbs each. With over 2120 Positive Feedbacks.
