VINTAGE FISHER 800-C TUBE STEREO INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER. Working – Fully Serviced (Read Below for Service Report). Excellent Condition – See Pictures. Disassemble unit and inspect ALL solder connections under magnification. Reflow connections as necessary. Remove all tubes, treat all tube socket connections with DeOxit D-100 preservative. Check all tube connections for tension / tightness. Clean all switches and controls with DeOxit preservative. Check all power supply capacitors for integrity and AC ripple.. Replace any that do not test perfect. Check bias voltage and bias supply filter capacitor. Modify power resistor value in bias circuit to compensate for new type rectifiers higher voltage. Output tube bias now exactly on spec. Replace original output tube coupling caps with Jupiter audiophile Polypropylene types. Wow what an improvement! Replace all original smaller electrolytic capacitors with newer Elna and Nichicon types. Select phase inverter and audio (ECC83) types for best performance. This concludes audio section restoration. Now to FM & Multiplex. Remove tuning condenser cover. Lubricare condenser mechanics and dial string mechanism. Clean tuning condenser axle ground wipers and treat with DeOxit D100. This is absolutely necessary for best FM performance. _Perform full Dual Sweep alignment of FM RF, IF, and discriminator alignment using Sound Technology 1000A generator. Replace original 1uf 350v electrolytic with Nichicon polypropylene type. Also modify multiplex triggering circuit for more positive multiplex switching. Fisher 500C’s are known to have multiplex switching issues. This one is working perfectly and has wonderful separation. Select ECC83′s for best FM stereo performance and sound. Install LED lamps to illuminate dial glass. Install new foam behind front panel for proper light diffusion. Complete cosmetic clean up of dial glass, (it’s perfect), front panel (gorgeous) knobs and cosmetics. Oil Walnut case (it’s a beauty, not mint, but very, very nice) clean case aluminum tube cover, also beautiful, no heat stains.. Full bench test followed by a protracted use and listening test. FM, multiplex, phono performance is wonderful. Tech Comments: I have been servicing all brands of audio units, tubed and solid state, as a vocation, not a hobby, for nearly 60 years. I can honestly say that I have worked on hundreds of these receivers. This one has to be one of the nicest in recent memory. It appears to have been little used also. So we decided to “pull out all the stops” in servicing it. Wonderful FM, multiplex working as nicely as you will find, audio performance to die for. This one is a total winner, the front. Panel is near mint (most would describe it AS mint) it’s really stunning. You just don’t find them like this… What a great example of vintage tube audio! Tuning range: FM, MW. Power output: 30 watts per channel into 8? Frequency response: 25Hz to 25kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 0.7%. Input sensitivity: 3.3mV (MM), 230mV (line). Signal to noise ratio: 80dB (line). Don’t like the price? For sale: original rare and vintage 1965 Kay Model 720 bass guitar amplifier. This amp is essentially Kay’s version of a tube-rectified Supro Thunderbolt. This amp, while initially intended for use with bass, sounds incredible for guitar. The combination of the 15 Oxford alnico speaker, (2) 6L6GC power tubes, (1) 5U4 rectifier tube, with (1) 5879 and (1) 7199 preamp tubes, produces a deep, rich, crunchy, overdriven tone. Original RCA black plate 6L6 power tubes. Additionally, this amplfier had a second chassis with an added (2) 6L6 power tubes installed way back when. The 5U4 rectifier tube was replaced with a solid state rectifier at some point. The Tolex is in great condition throughout. This is a working amplifier; however, the amp may need to be re-capped do to its age, and it is highly recommended that the power supply cable be upgraded to a modern cable for safety. For sale is a pair of Dukane 1A435 mono tube amplifier. No actual model found on the amp, but my research indicate these are the model 1A435 (please correct me or double check yourself if you have doubt). I assume if you are looking at these you know what they are. They are very hard to come by now, especially in a pair as nice as this. Tube are mixed of vintage brand, with some tungsol OPT I believe. Please study the pictures carefully and judge the condition for yourself. This is a used pair of Dukane 1A435 tube amplifiers in as-is condition. Vintage electronics contain 20-50 years old parts (belts, rubber parts, caps, etc) that while may work at the time I tested the unit, can fail at any given time. It can be a few weeks, months, or years before it fails. Service is recommend since I have not tested these unit fully, and their working condition is unknown. Due to nature of vintage electronic, there is no return accept for this item. Please note that I leave a tampering proof on these unit, that will not effect its function, but will tell me if the unit has been open in anyway. For sale is a very rare 1940s MASCO MA-35N integrated Amplifier. This would be a great restoration project. I’m sure it would have a great sound if someone took the time to clean it up. All the wiring and tubes look to be in great shape and I wouldn’t be half surprised if works as-is (provided you have a power cord for it). The item up for sale is not tested for functionality as we do not have the capability to test; Unit has been inspected and the results are as follows. Intended for Reuse or Repair/Refurbishment, not for Recycling or Disposal. The item is in Fair cosmetic condition. Upon inspection of the device, I noticed the type of scuffs and scratches that happen with normal use. Has heavier scuffs and scratches. There is a lot of corrosion and rust on the inside, bottom, and face plate (SEE PICTURES #8-12). Mode knob is chipped. The tuner string is missing (SEE PICTURES #9-12). Some of the wires on the inside are damaged (SEE PICTURES #9-12). Debris on the inside of the face plate glass. All jacks, terminals, and connectors are in good cosmetic condition. I was able to power on the device. The backlights were on, but dim. The channel lights do not turn on. I was able to test the 8 OHM terminal to be working. I was able to hear static every so often when turning the knobs. The jacks terminals and knobs have been cleaned with deoxit. Top cabinet has been cleaned with metal polish. I was unable to confirm if the audio inputs worked. No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources. It is not intended for recycling or disposal.
