1967 Fender Deluxe Non-Reverb 1x12 Vintage Blackface Tube Amp, AB763

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Deluxe in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Featuring the famed AB763 circuit, this amp has an incredible amount of headroom and power, something that instantly sets it apart from its reverb-equipped brother. Since the addition of the reverb effect into the Fender circuit essentially adds another gain stage, the non-reverb Deluxe really stands out as Fender’s premier 1×12 Blackface combo amp, with incredible warmth, EQ balance, and clarity. Perfect as a platform for pedals and an ideal amp for studio use, this Deluxe captures the quintessential Fender clean sound, with smooth tube overdrive and a hint of compression at higher volumes. The tremolo has a strong, even pulse as well, with a wide range of speeds. The circuit is extremely original, and the stock Schumacher-made transformers date to Fall of’66. The power supply has been professionally recapped along with a new bias capacitor and three-prong power cable to keep everything operating within original factory specifications. The circuit is otherwise untouched, with all of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps intact in the preamp. These caps are essential to the rich, musical quality of the Blackface-era circuits. The CTS pots are all stock as well with visible date codes from the 18th week of’66. The power tubes are a pair of Russian-made and Groove Tubes-branded 6V6s, along with a vintage Mullard GZ34 rectifier. The preamp tubes are all newer valves from the likes of Groove Tubes and JJ. The speaker is a vintage Utah 12 with a very clean black frame and original blue foil Fender label on the magnet. The original tube chart is intact and particularly clean, with a “QA” date code that translates to January of 1967. Cosmetically, this is an extremely clean and well cared for amplifier, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. As the photos show, the tolex is extremely tidy and the faceplate is quite clean as well, with a set of minty witch hat knobs. This Deluxe would look great in a studio and is an example that will satisfy players and collectors alike. 1964 Fender Vibroverb Vintage Blackface Pre-CBS Tube Amp 1x15 with JBL 130A, Ftsw

Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Vibroverb in excellent condition, recently serviced and loaded with a vintage JBL 130A speaker. A very original and clean example of Fender’s rarest and most desirable Blackface amp, the Vibroverb was only made in the Pre-CBS Fender era, lasting from late 1963 through’64. Best known for its association with Stevie Ray Vaughan, the Vibroverb delivers 40 all-tube watts with a dual channel design and tube rectifier. The amp is loaded with a pair of vintage JAN/Phillips 6L6 power tubes, and the JBL speaker has been professionally reconed. The tone is clear and powerful, with dynamic Fender cleans that sparkle and twang. The highly efficient JBL speaker keeps the signal and tight, with very little speaker cone distortion even at high volumes, letting the light compression and velvety tube overdrive of the circuit be heard with stunning clarity when you push the amp near 10 on the volume dial. The Reverb has plenty of splash and dimension with a long decay, and the Vibrato (technically tremolo) has a strong, smooth pulse. The circuit is extremely clean and stock, with all of the original Schumacher-made transformers dating between the 7th and 27th weeks of 1964. All of the original CTS pots are intact as well, dating to early’64. The preamp retains its full compliment of original blue molded Ajax caps, a key ingredient of the sweet, musical sound of Fender’s Blackface circuits. The power supply features a professional recap of the main filters, and the smaller bypass caps in the preamp have been replaced too. A three-prong power cable has also been installed. In addition to the pair of properly biased USA-made JAN/Phillips 6L6GC power tubes, the amp is loaded with a Sylvania GZ34 rectifier and a host of new and vintage tubes in the preamp as well, all of which function as intended. The tube chart is intact and very clean, with crisp corners and an “NJ” date stamp for October of 1964. The vintage JBL 130A speaker has a professional recone and proper aluminum dust cap, and this speaker is a particularly early JBL, predating the D130F. The speaker has a full, robust sound with no voice coil rub and incredible articulation. Cosmetically, this amp retains its original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth, with some light edge wear and a few small spots of missing tolex on the bottom edges of the cabinet. The original hardware is all intact, with some scuffing on the original nickel corners, and modest patina on the original Pat. Pending tilt-back legs, sphinx glides, and handle caps. The original two-button Reverb/Vibrato footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. The speaker will be removed and packed separately due to the weight, ensuring the safest transit for both the baffle and speaker cone and voice coil. International orders will be declared as merchandise, and the value of merchandise will be declared as the amount paid. We cannot declare anything as a gift or for a lesser value. Up for sale, a 1968 Fender Vibro Champ in excellent condition and in perfect working order with transitional cosmetic features. One of the first Silverface-era Fender amps produced, this Vibro Champ features “Drip Edge, Black Line” cosmetics, with aluminum trim framing the grillcloth and slender vertical black lines on the faceplate. Under the hood the circuit is identical to Fender’s Blackface amps of just a few months prior, and the Vibro Champ’s five watt Class A circuit delivers clear, chiming cleans and raucous, sizzling drive with a twist of the Volume knob. The Vibrato has a nice pulse and chop too, and this amp is a studio and apartment-friendly combo that delivers a dynamic, sparkling vintage Fender sound. The circuit is largely untouched, with original transformers that date to the first weeks of’68, and CTS pots that date back to 1966. All of the original pots are intact save one, and the preamp only has a few new capacitors as necessary to keep the amp functioning optimally. The tube compliment includes a modern Grooves Tubes 6V6 power tube, with a vintage Jan/Phillips 5Y3 rectifier and pair of modern preamp tubes. The speaker is a modern 8 replacement courtesy of Weber, and the ceramic magnet keeps the low end tighter and fuller than the stock speaker. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe is intact, and the grill features both the transitional aluminum trim and small tail-less Fender logo only seen on the very first Silverface Fender amps. The grillcloth shows light uniform aging, and all of the original hardware is intact with modest surface patina including the handle caps, chassis straps, and sphinx glides (feet). The enclosure shows only one notable divot on the top edge adjacent to one of the chassis straps. Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Pro Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order with the original two-button footswitch. Providing the general tonal character of a Twin Reverb, but boasting a tube rectifier and more manageable 40 watts of power, the Pro Reverb is a 2×12 amplifier with enough volume for large ensemble situations and the perfect balance between shimmering Blackface cleans and smooth, touch-sensitive overdrive. A great platform for effects pedals too, the cleans on this Pro are balanced, clear, and warm. Of course once you reach around 5 on the volume dial, things start to compress slightly, and you get that dynamic, glassy sound that adds just the right amount of grit to your tone. The tube-driven Reverb has plenty of splash and dimension, and the tremolo has a strong, smooth pulse and wide range of speeds. Very original and well maintained, this Pro Reverb is ready for stage and studio use! The circuit is extremely original, with the original compliment of Schumacher-made transformers, dating between the 13th and 23rd weeks of’65. The stock CTS pots are all intact as well, dating to early’65, and the chassis stamp notes a 1965 build date as well. The preamp retains all of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors which are a hallmark of the Blackface tone, as well as new bias and bypass caps to ensure optimal operation. Even the original power supply caps are intact and still functioning well. A modern three-prong power cable has been installed, and the amp is loaded with all modern valves including a pair of matched JJ 6L6s and a GZ34 rectifier. The speakers are a pair of vintage Fender-labeled CTS 12 speakers which date to 1979. The tube chart is fully intact, with an “OI” date stamp that translates to September of 1965. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is intact and in remarkable shape. The cloth has only light aging, and the tolex shows only some minor scuffs and nicks on the edges of the enclosure. The stock hardware is in great shape including original tilt back legs, chassis straps, corners, sphinx glides (feet), and handle. This Pro Reverb has fresh tubes, a very original circuit, and sounds every bit as good as a Blackface Fender should! The original two-button footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! 1967 Fender Bassman Vintage Blackface Piggyback Tube Amp 2x12 AB165 Circuit

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Bassman head and matching 2×12 cab excellent condition and in perfect working order. This vintage Blackface Fender amp features a well-maintained and very original circuit, with stock transformers and a fresh recap of the power supply. The AB165 circuit delivers clarity, warmth, and headroom, and this Bassman excels at sweet and articulate Fender clean tones with the distinctive punch of the accompanying 2×12 closed-back cabinet design. Once you reach about 5 on the volume dial, the circuit starts to overdrive smoothly and compress a bit, for a raw, thick sound that’s perfect for guitar or bass. It’s a simple and pure vintage Fender “piggyback” head and cab setup that provides a perfect platform for effect pedals, and is ready for stage and studio use. The AB165 circuit retains all of the original Schumacher transformers which date to late’66. The stock CTS pots date to early 1966 as well, while the chassis stamp puts the amp’s manufacture at early’67. The preamp retains the full compliment of original blue molded Ajax caps, as well as a few new smaller bypass and bias caps to ensure optimal operation. The power amp has also been professionally recapped with top-tier F&T capacitors, and the power cable changed to a modern three-prong. On the inside of the head cabinet, the original tube chart is present with a “QD” date stamp which translates to April of 1967. The speaker cab is loaded with a pair of vintage Fender-branded 12 drivers including one Oxford and one Utah made speaker with nearly identical black frames and original blue foil Fender labels on the ceramic magnets. The speakers deliver a bold and smooth sound with ideal punch and top end detail without being overly bright. Cosmetically, this is a clean and well cared for Bassman with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth on both the head and speaker cabinet. There are some expected small scuffs and nicks on the edges of the enclosures, but no serious wear of any kind, and this amp would look great in a studio collection. All of the original hardware is present, including the tilt-back chrome legs, nickel corners, handles, sphinx glides (feet), and Fender logos. The faceplate is also quite clean and complete with original witch hat knobs. There’s a bit of localized patina and light surface rust on the tilt-back legs and bottom corners of the cabinet, but that’s about the extent of any wear. This Bassman is clean, complete, and works exactly as intended for delivering powerful Fender cleans and thick overdriven textures. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Bassman tube amplifier head in excellent condition and in good working order. Recently serviced and complete with fresh power tubes, this Bassman works exactly as intended with the AB165 circuit. Tonally, this amp delivers the rich and powerful tones associated with the Blackface sound, and the cleans are robust and detailed. Pushing the amp past around 5 on the Volume dial of either channel begins to coax shades of overdrive out of the circuit, with moderate compression and plenty of crunch and bite when you dime the amp out. Perfect for guitar or bass, this amp truly excels when delivering sweet, sparkling cleans. The circuit is very original with stock Schumacher transformers that both date to early’67. The power supply has been recapped with high quality F&Ts, and there are a couple new Sprague Orange Drop caps in the preamp as well as a new bias cap to ensure stable voltages to the power tubes. The preamp is otherwise nearly untouched and retains all but one of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps that are an essential part of the Blackface sound. The original CTS pots are also all accounted for, dating back to mid-1966. The power cable has also been upgraded to a modern three-prong variety. Present inside the head cab, the stock tube chart is present, with a “QF” date stamp which translates to June of 1967. Cosmetically, this amp is very clean clean, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. Save for a new pair of Fender piggyback clip bars, all of the original hardware is present including the chassis straps, handle caps, and sphinx glides. The faceplate shows limited wear with bold silkscreened graphics and stock witch hat knobs. The back panel is a modern replacement that matches the otherwise original tolex on the head. 1967 Fender Bassman Blackface Piggyback Vintage Tube Amp 2x12 with AB165 Circuit

Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Bassman head and matching 2×12 cab loaded with Oxford 12T6 speakers in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This vintage Blackface Fender amp is a rare transitional model with a larger cabinet meant to be oriented vertically, yet still smaller than the Silverface cabinets seen by’68. For clarity, warmth, and headroom, this Bassman excels at delivering sweet and articulate Fender clean tones, and the increased cabinet size boosts the low end response. The AB165 circuit retains all of the original Schumacher transformers which all date to 1967 along with the chassis stamp, while the CTS pots date back to’66. All of the original blue molded Ajax caps are present in the virtually untouched preamp, while the bias cap and main filter caps have been freshly replaced with top tier Spragues to guarantee decades of future, trouble-free performance. A modern three-prong power cable has been installed too. On the inside of the head cabinet, the original tube chart is clean and intact with a “QF” date stamp which translates to June of 1967. The speaker cab is loaded with a pair of vintage, factory-spec Oxford 12T6 speakers which date to’72, and these 12 drivers are a perfect compliment for the Blackface Bassman. These speakers are detailed, clear, and well-balanced, overdriving with very rich and balanced overtones. The frames are near mint, the original blue foil Fender labels are present, and both speakers have their original cones. Cosmetically, this is a clean and well cared for Bassman with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth on both the head and speaker cabinet. There are only a few small scuffs and nicks on the edges of the enclosures, and this amp would look great in a studio collection. All of the original hardware is present, including the nickel corners, handles, sphinx glides (feet), and Fender logos. The faceplate is also quite clean and complete with original witch hat knobs. There’s a bit of light patina on the hardware as well as aging of the grillcloth, but that’s about the extent of any wear! This Bassman is clean, complete, and works exactly as intended for delivering powerful Fender cleans and thick overdriven textures. Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Pro in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. A true Pre-CBS example, this Pro pushes 40 watts of power via a pair of 6L6 power tubes through a single 15 JBL D130F speaker with its original cone. An ideal amp for crystalline Fender cleans and the sparkling, smooth response for which the Blackface era amps are known, this Pro delivers an extremely efficient and powerful sound, perfect for guitar or pedal steel and an ideal candidate for a Rhodes piano too. Tube rectified and notably responsive to your picking dynamics, this JBL D130F-equipped Pro offers a very articulate top end and incredible efficiency and projection, allowing the Pro to easily keep up with a band. The circuit is extremely stock, with a virtually untouched preamp and full recap of the power supply with high quality Sprague Atoms. All of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps are intact in the preamp too, an essential part of the sweet and musical quality of the Blackface amps. The Schumacher transformers are all original, dating to early 1964, and the original CTS pots and chassis stamp date to’64 as well. The original faceplate is extremely clean, with stock witch hat knobs and the “Fender Electric Instruments” text used in the Pre-CBS era. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is fully intact and only lightly aged, with an “NE” date stamp which translates to May of 1964. The JBL speaker is likely an aftermarket upgrade, but a speaker Fender did offer in this era in their Vibroverb and Showman amps. The speaker has a clean frame and most importantly its original JBL cone with a clean “21057″ cone stamp visible. Cosmetically, the amp is extremely clean, retaining the original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. The tolex is remarkably well-kept as the photos can attest, with sparingly little aging of the nickel hardware and moderate darkening of the grillcloth over the last 55 years.
