Custom 1956 1957 Deluxe Deep Blue Vintage Tube Amp 5E3 w/ Celestion V30 Speaker. Oxblood Deluxe is a tribute to the original Tweed Deluxe 5E3. It is a simple MEDIUM POWERED LOUD AMP to let guitarists hold their own in a small group. As blues, western swing, Western, and rockabilly bands began getting louder, the overdriven tone of a cranked-up Deluxe found its way onto many live and recorded performances. It is relatively small in size, having one twelve inch speaker, four inputs (5E3) and two channels. Each channel has a volume control. Both channels share a tone control. The inputs and controls are mounted at the top of the amplifier. It is often referred to as the “Tweed Deluxe” because of its covering-a light brown material which is actually a cotton twill that is often lacquered. The output valves are driven by a cathodyne phase splitter. These aspects of the circuit make a key contribution to the complex, wild and ragged sound of an overdriven 5E3 Deluxe, especially in comparison to other clean style amplifiers. Oxblood Deluxe features an AC power switch (115V / 230V) to fit the power requirements of traveling musicians, and offers the ultimate dream: a pedal friendly amplifier. Mint Condition amazing top-rated amp! 1981 Legend Rock “N” Roll 50 Combo Amplifier. Made in upstate New York from 1975 to 1984. Check out comments below from the Marshall Forum.. This is a very scarce 2×12 combo-amp model. Rola Celestion G12-80 speakers (1777 – lead guitar cones). Solid oak cabinet with cane grill (like early MESA/Boogie amps). Amazing vintage rock sound – Great amp & bulletproof! Tube pre-amp section (triple 12AX7′s) with a solid state power section. There is no hum, buzz or noise of any kind, a totally silent amplifier. Legend RnR 50 was the only guitar amp used in the studio on ZZ Top’s Eliminator album, as verified on the Telecaster Forum by Terry Manning the sound engineer who worked it. We had great fun playing it in our warehouse, but weren’t able to stand the volume past 3… Checked out A+ by Bemis Amps in SD they were brave enough to turn it all the way up! No Issues at very low apartment-use-levels all the way through to extreme high volume. Some say a Marshall / Fender tone. Original foot switch & owners book. Can deliver by car in so. Here are some posts from the Marshall Forum. ” several volume controls – Master & Pre-amp on the front, plus Color Gain and Presence controls, THEN, there are two volume controls on the back “. They went to 2 extra rear-panel volumes. Could get a lot of distortion at low volume (or even more distortion with a loop jumper). Legend’s SS power amp section responds very much like a typical tube power amp. Just another great and unique thing about this wonderful combo amp. The [Legend] amps have a lot of gain and you have to spend a little time to get a tone you like. The Legend is a lot like an early 60′s Hiwatt. The electrolytic caps were Nichicon/Rubicon. At the time, the best caps in the world. The power & standby switches were British — the same ones Marshall used. ” their voicing was more hot-rodded Marshall “. The 212 with its extra volume knobs was better at low volumes but also sounded much better at high volume. From what the founder has said, I gather that the R’n’R had some minor circuit changes during its run, besides the obvious addition of the extra rear panel volume controls. I think that’s why user reviews vary so much — the amps themselves varied. The founder said the power output spec was under-rated and the output section was nowhere near clipping at rated output. A big part of why the Legends had the reputation of being as loud as similarly rated tube amps. It may have been the G12-80. Both how it responded to sub-watt inputs, and because it was so efficient that I could barely crack open the volume knobs at sub-eviction levels. Never had the chance to dime any of them (Legend amps). With all the volume knobs at 7 they kept up with a cranked [Ampeg] SVT. They are great rock and roll amps. If you can find one with the original Celestions and play rock and roll, get one. They are handmade and were very expensive when new. One of the secrets on these is to run a patch cord between the effects loop, which has it’s own attenuator. Love the Legend, killer back-up amp, crazy loud… Great clean or dirty… ” It lites-up the “G” “B” and high “E strings like no other amp has, and even gives me a real good broken up Clean sound. This thing is Flat out hot Classic Rock & Roll. Never had a problem. Well, I had to clean the pots about three times in 27 years… The item “VINTAGE LEGEND AMP ROCK N ROLL 50 COMBO TUBE AMPLIFIER 2×12 CELESTION SPEAKERS” is in sale since Tuesday, October 15, 2019. 1967 Gibson GA55 RVT Ranger USA Vintage Tube Amplifier Head 2x12 Celestion Cab

1967 Gibson GA55 RVT Ranger USA Vintage Tube Amplifier Head 2x12 Celestion Cab

Super Rare Vintage late 60′s all tube 50 watt Gibson Ranger amplifier. Amplifier was originally a combo amp with four 10 speakers. Previous owner had it customized in to a head & 2X12 speaker cabinet. Was then wrapped in a vintage style western brown tolex. Matching cabinet was loaded with two brand new 12 Celestion Rocket 50 speakers to keep with the vintage, clean tone. Amplifier was completely gone over, and some tubes were replaced by a local electronics shop. Still has the original 2 prong power cord, no buzzes, and no hum. Great sounding vintage tube amplifier with plenty of power. This is a two channel amp, channel 2 is the tremolo & reverb channel, reverb has been completely removed, so now channel 2 is the tremolo channel only. Hard to find one of these 55′s in working order, and in a two piece design, makes alot easier to transport because it’s not as heavy as the original combo design, and looks much cooler this way. You’re gonna get a deal here, won’t last long. The item “1967 Gibson GA55 RVT Ranger USA Vintage Tube Amplifier Head 2×12 Celestion Cab” is in sale since Thursday, April 12, 2018. Up for sale is an excellent and underrated tube amp by Peavey.. This one flies under the radar, but it is a very good sounding tube amp. Just check all of the youtube videos and what the owners have to say about this unit. Runs on 3 preamp tubes as well 2 6l6GC power tubes. This amp seems to have a little bit more control knobs than a typical Peavey Tube amp from the 70s and 80s, like the Peavey Bravo. And this is a good thing! Gives it some really good versatility and allows the owner to have a lot of control over their sound, with many shades available. The typical knobs, like bass, mid and treble, are very reactive! Youve got enough options there to really change up the flavors of your sounds! But then youve also got the ability to pull out the pre (amp) knob and gives you a little more brightness to your sound.. Perfect for humbucker guitars, like my Schecter Synyster Gates Standard and modded Epiphone Les Paul Jr. Theres the pump knob, which I think is the analog to the saturation knobs on the other aforementioned Peavey tube amps, which increases the gain, saturation and sustain to your overdrive. Perfect for adjusting your solos and leads. You can also pull the post (gain) knob and make you sound smooth as Peavey calls it. Sounds to me like it adds some bass frequencies and possibly some low mid frequencies. Perfect for single coil guitars. Pull out the high knob on your parametric eq, and it makes your sound thick according to Peavey. Sounds like low mids get boosted once again, and possibly some high mids and bass/lows. Did I mention that this amp also has a presence control? Add real spring reverb that sounds really good to the mix, and youve got a total all-in-one unit with the nice warm sounds of valves! Not to mention, this amp has been upgraded with a practically brand new Celestion Seventy-80 (70-Eighty) speaker! Many good sounds can had from this box. Even if you keep the pre-amp gain low, the pump control low, and turn up the post or power amp volume, you can get a very nice classic rock crunch. It would also work well for country rhythms and for solos in soft rock. No problems with the sound of this particular unit either! The power tubes are fairly new and all you get from this machine is tone, tone, tone! No cleaning pots necessary at this time…. None of them are scratchy!!!!!! Such and amazing wealth and variety of sounds can be had from this excellent amp. Definitely a must have! Please read the condition description, these listing details, and examine the pictures carefully. The item “Rare Find. Vintage Peavey Encore 65 Tube guitar amp. Upgraded Celestion speaker” is in sale since Tuesday, December 26, 2017. This item is in the category “Musical Instruments & Gear\Guitars & Basses\Guitar Amplifiers”.
