Up for sale, a 1960′s Impact 60 vintage tube amplifier head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. An exceedingly rare and visually stunning head tonally in the Hiwatt mold, the Impact 60 is a UK-made EL34-driven powerhouse with original massive Partridge transformers. Impact amps were originally produced by. Big, shimmering, commanding tones with a crisp British edge can easily be coaxed out of both channels, and the tube compliment of vintage matched RCA 6CA7 (EL34) power tubes and Mullard preamp tubes provides a rich, dynamic signal. The circuit is hand-wired on a tag board with the majority of original tone capacitors and metal film resistors intact. The amp has been recapped and serviced as necessary for optimal playability, and the original Partridge transformers are present, coveted for their top shelf construction and widely considered to be the best vintage British transformers ever produced. The amp has a modern three-prong power cable, and the speaker outputs on the back are switchable from 8 to 16 ohms. The cabinet and aesthetics of the Impact were certainly designed to do just that, and the unique angled face of the head and reverse angled grillcloth give the amp a bit of Space Age flair. The original black tolex has retains its white piping, and the turquoise faceplate retains the sextet of polished chrome knobs, similar, but not identical to the ones Vox used in the mid’60s. For sale is a vintage 1982 Marshall JCM800 Model 1992 Super Bass MKII 100 watt tube amplifier head. This is an amazing sounding amp. It delivers a warm, punchy clean tone for a surprisingly loud range, the typical gritty drive you expect from a Marshall when cranked. This is an early 80′s model with the sought after vertical inputs. This amp is in perfect working order. The only issue of note is some scratchiness when adjusting the treble and volume pots. This is not an issue once you get your settings dialed in. The amp appears to be original with no circuit modifications. It has aftermarket Sovtek power tubes and Mesa preamp tubes. It is in used condition with cosmetic wear. The back plate/tube protection plate is missing, unfortunately. There are a few spots where the tolex has ripped, but nothing too major. Some of the plastic on the corners and the vent cover have chipped next to where it was riveted in. Overall, it is in good shape for its age. For sale, one vintage pre-CBS 1965 Fender blackface Bandmaster all tube amplifier head in excellent condition for its age, with one small hole in the faceplate. Serial number A09906, manufactured in April of 1965. Very original with all original transformers and original AB763 circuit. These are well revered as guitar amps. They feature two channels, Normal and Vibrato, each with three band EQ and Bright switch. The Vibrato channel adds Fender’s signature opto-electric vibrato, a sound near and dear to all of our hearts. 50 watts from two 6L6 power tubes into 4 ohms imparts that classic 1960′s Fender tube chime and warmth that only amps of this era possess. Just back from servicing with new electrolytic capacitors, bias and cleaning. Sounds amazing and is ready to rock! No reasonable offer refused. Great sounding head in strong condition. I decided to keep my Ampeg Gemini 2×12 Combo so this goes. Sounds like vintage Ampeg on bass and guitar. Plenty of headroom, and nice punchy low end when the amp is pushed. I think both channels served well for both guitar stuff, and my bass needs. No real major blems, but does have some wear. All electronics are working as seen in the short demo. This is a great sounding piece of Ampeg gear that has been well cared for over time. Here’s a short video demo of the amp going through paces.. No items have been lost yet! Unless agreed upon by me. I will not claim a lower price than the sale price. This will probably never occur, but just in case would know. You are looking at a Vintage 1965 85 Watt Fender Showman “Blackface” All Tube Amp Head. The Fender Showman was introduced in 1960 and discontinued in 1993. This is an early model Pre CBS “Blackface” model with the original Blackface AB763 circuit. Fender used the AB763 circuit from 1963 to 1967 and than changed to the Silverface circuit AB568 in 1968. This is the circuit when a “Blackface” Mod is done. This is the “Right” one. This is the Iconic Blackface. Dick Dale the legendary Godfather of “Surf Music” was enlisted by Fender as a Test Pilot to help develop the Showman Amp. Dick Dale has frequently spoken of his role in the development of the Showman, and boasts of having blown up nearly 50 amplifiers before Fender achieved a design that could take his heat. Whether or not the seminal surf guitarist exaggerates, his claims encompass the ambition of the Showman. The keys to creating the bigger, stronger, and louder amp required lay primarily in two major ingredients; a new output transformer (OT) and a new speaker cab design. The result is a nearly indestructible amp. Showman amps are revered for their big, sparkly clean tone. As you turn the amp up the cleans turn smoothly into that classic Blackface grind. With lots of neutral clean headroom, the amp makes a great platform for pedals as well. This amp is a great player, and you will be hard-pressed to find a modern amp of similar quality without spending thousands more. Sparkling, bright, clean sound with lots of headroom. If you are into Surf, Country, Rock or even Jazz, this amp will perform to your expectations. Our amp tech serviced this amp for the sale. He cleaned all pots, jacks, switches and tube sockets.
