Vintage Tube Amp

VINTAGE USED HEATHKIT MODEL AA-32 STEREO HI-FI AMPLIFIER FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ONLY. THIS UNIT IS UNTESTED. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL COVER (CAGE). IT HAS WHAT LOOKS TO BE SOME PAINT SPLATTERS ON THE FRONT OF THE UNIT. THE TUBES ARE ALL THERE, UNTESTED.

Up for sale a 1965-66 Supro Thunderbolt amplifier. Amp is in good condition with normal use. Very clean chassis as you can see in the photos. The amp is all original, sounds great and idles quietly. Original transformers and speaker are there. Vintage Power Tubes and RCA preamp tubes. Covering has some scuffs and scrapes etc. As you might expect. Please see photos for condition. These units were used by Capehart in consoles with the “N2″ suffix, such as the 114N2. The consoles date from the late 1940s, untouched conditions, have 2 6L6G tubes 18 watt power output for 8ohms. This is as clean as you will find as it was stored in a cabinet forever, barely a mark on it, and sounds super clean. I tested all tubes, replaced a couple of 6AN8s and the EL84s are all original Mullard Heathkit. Don’t want to sell it as it is that nice but have too much stereo gear.

Vintage Thomas tube amplifier removed from a high end thomas transistor organ. Aplifier was working when removed. Tubes are not included. If you have any further question please ask.

This amp is in a portable cabinet with a handle. I assume based on what Ive seen this was likely pulled off a larger unit to make the amp more universal. The amp does work, the knobs cause pretty heavy distortion when turned, the contacts need a good cleaning. I would expect to be 100% this would need to be serviced. For sale Ampex 620 amplifier, came from suitcase amps. Made in the mid 1950s, it’s have hum noise from filter capacitor, before use, need replace some parts.

THIS COMES AS PICTURED. I HAVE HAD A FEW OF THESE OVER THE YEARS BUT THIS IS BY FAR IN THE BEST COSMETIC CONDITION AS I HAVE HAD. MOT OF THE TIME THEY ARE RUSTED (FROM SITTING OUT IN A SHED) AND NEED REPAINT. I WOULD NOT TOUCH THIS ONE OTHER THAN A LITTLE POLISHING. IT WILL MOST LIKELY NEED SOME ELECTRICAL WORK. LOOKS LIKE IT STILL HAS THE OLD WAX CAPS THAT WILL PROBABLY POP IF YOU POWER IT ON. IT SHOULD BE A FUN EASY RESTORATION THOUGH. THE POWER CORD WAS BRITTLE AND MAKING A TOTAL MESS SO I DID CUT IT OFF. THE PLUG CONNECTOR HOWEVER IS THERE AND EASY TO REWIRE (THESE ARE ALMOST ALWAYS MISSING). ALL OTHERS TO USE EIS.
