Here for sale is a very rare matched pair of restored Allen Organ model 60 tube amplifiers. These are very powerful amplifiers, each with a new matched quad of Tung Sol 6L6′s in PPL configuration. Toggle switches were added to these amps to provide the option to run them in either Pentode mode or Triode mode. The restoration work was done 2 years ago by The Electron Addict shop in Papillion, NE. See pictures for a description of the restoration work. These amps are very quiet and have a wide, clear and very detailed sound. The bass from these amplifiers is deep and effortless. They are set up and available to audition in Lawrence. This listing is for a Vintage 1960 Silvertone Model 4707 6V6 Tube Organ Amplifier / Guitar Amp. The tube lineup is a 6V6GT power tube, a 12AX7 preamp, a 12DW7 for the vibrato and a 5Y3GT rectifier. Prior to listing it was powered on and hooked up to an old Sqier Strat that we keep for testing. Using the right input it played beautifully and the volume control worked correctly. We got no sound from the left input and the vibrato did not appear to work – we did not have a spare 12DW7 to try, so it might just be a tube, but we don’t guarantee that.
