Pulled from a WORKING pair of W3M tube amplifiers, driving 6L6GC pairs in each. Amps (which are not included, nor are the tubes) were gone through and recapped last year. I bought the amps for the tubes, as I needed them. Parting out now the amplifiers (and other items from the lot). 1 One of them was custom mounted to the chassis, as they relocated one of the caps. They bent the tab that mounts the transformer to the chassis. I tried to bend it back, but it is solid. They must have a metal bending tool. You will need to rebend. I tried with a strong set of grips, and while it moves, I just didn’t trust myself. Obviously not an issue that affects performance, just the way it is mounted. If you are handy, or have some experience bending metal, you can certainly get it back. 2 other one had some wax on the underside, and the wires. Likely a bad wax cap over the years melted. You can likely wipe it off… I did, and some came off. Didn’t spend too much time with it though (like literally 10 seconds). Should clean up nice. These are superb, working TO-300 transformers. Pairs are getting super hard to find (as are singles). Very heavy, will be double boxed to ensure they make the transit.
Up for sale is one New Opened Box Pair of Vintage Amplifiers U. S Navy/Mil made in 1953. They are made by Atlas Engineering and used UTC transformers or UTC rebranded Atlas transformers. They are amplifier modules. There is no cables included but I think A Tube Amp repair person can easily identity input and output connections. Tubes are not included with this sale. Each amplifier used 2 x 6SN7 but they were removed for my other amplifiers project. What you see is what you get.
OPEN TO FAIR OFFFERS. The listing price is for a. EICO HF-60 Mono Tube Amplifiers based on EL34/6CA7 Tubes. No tubes are included. The tubes shown are for testing only; not included. The output transformers are the sough-after Acrosound TO-330 As far as I can tell, they are in original configuration. I hooked them up on a variac, set up to 80v. Both powered up OK. One amp generated hum sound but did pass music through to the connected speaker. The other didn’t produce music nor hum. On this amp, the connected speaker did produce cracking noise as I wiggle the small tubes. So, at least, the output and power transformers are all good. By visual inspection, I can tell they are reasonably nice; no signs of abuse, burn, damage. Shot me any questions and I’ll try to answer. I have other audio equipment, like. Up for grabs here is a very rare pair of 12AX7 new Old stock tubes both in the original boxes. I believe both of these tubes are TUNG – SOL rebrand tubes. This is a blue printing pair of tubes. One of the tubes has smooth black plates and an angled square getter. I tested it and it tested well with the new Old stock values. It was at like 990 on both lines, whereas a typical new Old stock tube averages 1000 so it is well within the average ranges. The other Tube has grey plates and a goal post getter with a foil strip with twin dimples in the foil strip at the tip. This tube also tested new old stock at 990 on both lines. I did a bit of research on these tubes and I believe they’re both manufactured by TUNG – SOL. Feel free to ask any questions you have order to make an offer. Thank you for looking. Have a blessed day.
