International buyers, please wait for invoice before paying. This is from my personal collection. More premium vintage gear coming soon! This listing is for the 2 amplifiers pictured. They are priced to sell, super super cheap for this quality! Here is a super pair of Baldwin D520-10H 40 Watt field coil amplifiers from 1950! Holy Smokes, look how clean these are! These have been in my collection for decades and I have always kept them in a heated and air-conditioned building! The serial numbers are 7251 and 7253. These were made almost one after another on the assembly line. Each amplifier uses: (4) 6l6GC, (2) 5U4G and (1) 6SN7GT. Tubes are not included. I used these amplifiers years ago and they worked great. I have not had them on in a while, transformers are guaranteed, and I would recommend a quick recap to bring these back to these full glory! These amplifiers really sound great. We ran these on a pair of extremely old field coil Lansing speakers and just loved them. I’ll never forget that light airy sound with stereo imaging that I just haven’t heard of since. Great to find a wonderful stereo pair in such wonderful condition. The red manual IS NOT included! We use all brand new boxes and packing material from Uline. Each amplifier will be packed separately, so you will receive 2 boxes.
EICO HF-81 Stereo Tube Amplifier with All Vintage Tubes, with EL84/6BQ5 in Output. Watch it in operation with music from Pro-Ject turntable on Youtube. All tubes are vintage and all included; some are Mullard etc. I provided some pictures to show the circuitry under the chassis. I plugged it in wall voltage of 120V and the amp worked fine and produced great and balanced music in both channels as shown in the video. Since this amp is very old, it may need services before daily use. At least, the new owner should have some professional to go over it. I did notice the following issues. The fuse holder is bit loose. At times, I had to re-tighten the fuse to power it up. The shaft of TREBLE control pot can be pushed in if you re-install the knobs on it. I inserted a small piece of hard foam behind it (inside the chassis) so it’s fixed, for now. I felt some of the contacts or wirings are not 100% secured. I once pulled out one tube shield and incidentally brushed on something (didn’t know what), causing the left channel silent. That channel recovered by itself a few minutes later. I couldn’t find out the cause. That’s why it’s very good idea to have a professional to service it so you can really enjoy it. Physical condition is really good for the age, much better than many others showed up for sale. The front is beautiful; all knobs are original. Chassis is pretty clean. Meshed cover is good. There may be some screws missing in the bottom plate. Overall, this is a beauty to me. I have other audio equipment, like. VINTAGE RARE GE T-1500A TUBE RADIO AMP STEREO WALNUT CONSOLE TABLE STEREOPHONIC. Rarely seen due to their very limited production run. Very Good USED Vintage Condition with some blemishes in the wood as shown in pictures. Some discoloration on front of speaker grills when closed, also shown in pictures. THIS STEREO HAS NOT BEEN RESORED OR TAMPERED WITH, I DID NOT ATTEMPT TO ADD STAIN TO THE BLEMISHES IN THE WOOD OR CLEAN AND AIR HOSE THE KNOBS. AS ALREADY MENTIONED THERE IS SOME SCRATCHYNESS IN THE KNOBS IM SURE DUE TO AGE. BOTH SPEAKERS WORK, WITH A LITTLE TLC THIS COUILD BE A GREAT SOUNDING VINTAGE GE STEREO SYSTEM. Masquerading as a tabletop radio, it actually has the capability to be a full-blown stereo. Ability to connect external speakers, and also to connect a turntable. Separate Amp, pre-amp and tuner all contained in the same walnut cabinet! Unusual design, where speakers have NO wiring; the connection is made thru the hinges. He telescoping antenna is in great shape but could use some cleaning. Overall very nice piece from the 1960′s. Stereo WORKS with some scratch noise in volume knob. Most likely needs cleaning as this stereo is 60 years old. If volume knob is wiggled or turned back and forth the sound gets better. All Knobs do work. He tuner dial lights up great, the’Stereo Star’ light does not illuminate. Measures approximately 18″x12″x5 with speakers closed’ and.
Up for sale is a Roberts / AKAI A-901 Pre Vintage Reference Stereo Amplifier & 90-C Reel Recorder with Speaker. This listing includes an Roberts 90-C Tube Reel to Reel Recorder, a Roberts A-901 Stereo Tube Amplifier, and a Roberts speaker. The reel to reel player plays, fast forwards, and rewinds great. I haven’t run a tape in it though. The amplifier pushes good sound and power when connecting an input and outputting to the portable speaker. The speaker inside of the amplifier itself does not pit out any sound for some reason. It could be a tube. All of the tubes seem to light up except for one. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
For sale is a fully restored Fisher SA-100 tube amplifier in far better working condition (yes, it sounds and measures better) than when it left the factory in the early 1960s. I did this work myself and this is one of the dozens of pieces of audio gear and test equipment I have restored in the last five years. I did not do this level of a restoration with the intent to resell the unit, but I simply have too much gear and this amp sounds too good not to be enjoyed. Restoration was the following (please also see relevant photo). Nearly all resistors and capacitors replaced including wirewounds where appropriate for heat dissipation. The bulk of the resistors were 1% tolerance of better military grade Vishay metal film resistors. These are on another planet compared to the noisy and out of spec carbon comp resistors. The “sound” of the amplifier is largely dependent on the output transformers and the carbon comps were simply holding this amplifier back and of course a limitation to the reliability of this already hot running small stereo amplifier. The tight, low-reaching bass this amplifier is known for is very much present and enhanced. Potentiometers and switches disassmbled and thoroughly cleaned. Chassis gently cleaned and protected with synthetic wax. Original 7189 tubes were weak and were replaced with a quad matched set of new production Tung-sol 7189s. Russian made before the war. Put some NOS tubes in here if you’d like. The 7247s are still the originals. Tube sockets were cleaned and tightened. The work done on this amplifier is cleaner than that one. I’ll note the cosmetic flaws but if you care about these when you consider the level of restoration undertaken here, you’re missing the point. Power transformer has a slight tilt to it. There was a small nick on one of the edges that I gently filed down as it was very sharp. You can see it in the photos. Some small nicks and scratches, but this amp is far cleaner than average. Rubber feet a bit deteriorated, but still serve their purpose. Additional things you should know. This amp runs hot and it was even hotter before restoration. The temperature is not harmful to the components but it is likely going to be warmer than you’re used to. Terms (Please read these). I sell mostly vintage electronics. As such, these items are old and typically out of spec from when they were new. I do my best to test these items and make sure they work before they’re sent out, but I do not guarantee or represent that they will meet the original specifications. I may not even be able to test them, in which case assume that they don’t work. However, there are times where I may miss something. If that happens, I hope that you would agree that the most efficient way to take care of an issue is if you simply message me before opening a case or doing anything else. I need an outlet for these items online, so I have no reason to send you something that doesn’t work unless I’ve noted that it doesn’t. I pack items correctly. I know what it takes to get an item to you safely. You will NOT have to ask for it. I will do my best to get items out within a few days, however there are instances where that is not possible especially around holidays. The policies here are difficult in this regard because these vintage items in particular need to be moved and packed carefully. I do not want to damage anything by rushing. With this all being said, if there is any reason that you don’t feel that you can leave FIVE stars in every category, please reach out to me before leaving any feedback other than positive with all five stars in every category. Please message me to work this o.
