Vintage Tube Amp

HERE IS A MCINTOSH MC240 POWER TUBE AMP IN UNCERTAIN CONDITION. I USED A VARIAC TO WARM THIS UP OVER 24 HOURS AND ALL OF THE TUBES LIGHT UP (SEE THE LAST PIC). I ALSO USED A DYNA PAS PRE AMP THAT I HAVE BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WORKS CORRECTLY? ANYWAY, I NEVER COULD ET ANY SOUND AT ALL. I MAY HAVE HOOKED UP SOMETHING WRONG BUT I JUST DONT KNOW? IT IS POSSIBLE THAT IT MAY WORK TOO. CONDITION WISE I WOULD SAY IT LOOKS GOOD. THERE ARE A LOT OF LITTLE PITS OR NICKS OR SPECS ON THE CHROME SURFACE. I GUESS IT IS THE BEGINNING OF SURFACE RUST BUT IT’S NOT REAL BAD. PLEASE ENLARGE THE PICS AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF. ONE THING OF NOTE, ON ALL OF THE SMALLER TUBES EXCEPT MAYBE ONE, THEY ALL END IN THE LETTER A. FOR INSTANCE, IF IT SHOULD BE A 12AU7 IT WILL INSTEAD HAVE THOSE SAME LETTERS BUT HAVE AN A AT THE END. I WANT TO STRESS THAT THIS IS LISTED AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. ALSO, DUE TO THE TREMENDOUS WEIGHT AT THE BACK OF THE AMP I WILL EITHER HAVE TO PACK IT IN A MUCH LARGER BOX SO IT’S NOT ACCIDENTALLY TIPPED AND DROPPED OR I MAY ADD SOME FORM OF ADDITIONAL WEIGHT TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE.
