Vintage 50s Gibson BR-9 Tube Amp Amplifier With Jensen Speaker Excellent Condit. This an example of a perfect closet classic. This amp is from around 1956 as the Jensen field coil speaker is dated 1956. As the pictures show this amp was probably stashed in a closet for 50 years. It is completely original EXCEPT it has been professionally recapped using sprague and custom built capacitors and a 3 prong power cord has been added for safety. There is zero rust, zero corrosion, the wiring isn’t brittle or cracking and the solder joints are all original except as noted for recapping. There are a few few scuffs and small dings here and there but overall it’s in just amazing shape for a 65 year old amp. I think it’s eligible for medicare this year. This one has 2 6V6 power tubes, tube rectifier and preamp tube and I suspect they are all original also. The amp sounds wonderful to my ears. Clean and clear up to about 3/4 volume and then it starts to break up into a badass crunch. This amp has the serial number stamped into the chassis upside down so I suspect it was probably earmarked for another model like the BR-6. Gibson is famous for mixing and matching parts in the 50′s. This would be a great amp for studio, acoustic gigs or for that collector that seeks minty old gear. VINTAGE 1960′s ALAMO AMPLIFIER, ORIGINAL, ITS WORKS JUST FINE. This is an original Alamo amp I’ve never seen another amp like it, the covering is gray has a bit of glitter to it and has kind of a snakeskin look to the covering. This has a 8 Utah speaker I’m pretty sure its and original speaker. If you have questions I would be happy to respond. Super clean sound out of this amp might be a great studio amp. 1965 Supro S6422TR Tremo-Verb Combo Tube Amp in outstanding condition. It is all original and everything works perfectly. This is a glorious sounding low-watt 1×10 combo that is packed with features for its size. It has both Reverb and Tremolo, which is rare to see in a 5W amp. The Reverb and Tremolo are each individually foot-switchable. If you ever wanted a Fender Princeton Reverb Blackface but thought it was too loud to get good breakup, this is the amp for you. This amp is in fantastic condition for its age. There is very little wear to note. The Blue Rhino Hide tolex looks great. The handle works perfectly. All knobs work and the majority of letting is visible. The reverb and tremolo both sound good with no issues. The original Supro-branded Jensen C10R speaker dates to 1965. All electronics are original and date to 1965, including the power transformer and all potentiometers. The power switch was replaced with a rotary on/off. The 6V6 main output and 12AX7 pre-amp tubes have just been replaced. Includes a footswitch and a Fender slipcover. I generally bring these up on a variac very slowly to re-form the caps and often find them to need very little to make them functional. Tweak the circuit to your personal taste, of course! Ampeg B-15N in good working condition. New JJ 6L6 Final tubes, all other test good. There is a modification with the top. The clips where removed and 2 metal brackets where installed the cabinet and thumbscrews hold the top onto the cabinet. There is also 2 metal strips riveted to the back, not sure why there are there, both where like that when I got it 3 years ago. The speaker code shows an Eminence 15 speaker with a date code of’78.
