This is the more rare and desirable single tone control version from the early 1940s. There are a couple of extra holes in the head from some previous modifying. The cabinet has some wear but it is an i. It was rebuilt at Amphole and the field coil speaker was rebuilt at Orange County Speaker. Up for sale, a 1970′s Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master Mark II tube amplifier head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Fully serviced and very original, this head drives a matched pair of EL34 power tubes, generating an ample 45 watts. Made in Canada and fully hand-wired with giant Hammond transformers, this amp has significant clean headroom and passes a ton of low end. Known as the poor mans Marshall, the circuit can be easily modified to that of a classic 4-input design, yet in its stock configuration the YBA-1 can already harness that rich Tweed-meets-U. Blend which is this Traynor’s sonic signature. With Volume controls for each channel as well as a global EQ, this amp can be used to power a variety of different instruments (such as a bevy of vintage keyboards) or simply a single guitar or bass, providing a bold, clean power amp that works well with effects pedals. This Traynor has abundant low end response, and the large transformers keep the sound tight and full. This YBA-1 has a very original circuit, with all of the original Hammond transformers and a preamp that retains all of the original pots as well as the mustard tone caps which are essential to the tonal color of this head. The power supply includes new F&T capacitors to ensure optimal performance. The amp is currently loaded with a trio of vintage 12AX7 (7025) preamp tubes as well as a matched pair of Sylvania EL34 power tubes. The faceplate retains all of its original knobs, with most of the white screenprinting having been worn away. Smooth black tolex and a silver grill cloth cover the enclosure, with a good deal of scuffing and wear throughout, and there is evidence of black paint on the enclosure, specifically over the chrome bumpers. This Traynor lives up to the company’s reputation of delivering sturdy workhorse amps that perform reliably on stage and in studio situations. This vintage hand-wired Traynor YBA-1 Bass Master Mark II is a true sleeper that has been well played, but remains in top-notch performance condition. Vintage Silvertone 1333 Tube Type Guitar Amp 1956. I received this amp several years ago and it has set in my office since then. This must have been a barn find for someone, because it was exposed to moisture. The cabinet is very solid tho discolored. The speaker has some rust on the frame and parts of the chassis has some corrosion on it. I took the chassis out and it looked like previous work had been done with wrong value parts put in it. I’m sending the schematic with the amp. It shows all values and voltage test points. I recapped it using new tested caps. Three for the filter section, a couple of 25uf at 35 volts, a. 5 cap, and several resistors. No other cap were replaced. I sprayed the pots with DeOxit. I fixed the 6X5GT socket as one of the rivets broke so it is now screwed in. I replaced the power cord with a 3 prong grounded cord. I put a new leather (time period correct) handle on it. The feet were missing so I put on 4 new feet. I then gave it a gentle wipe down, nothing serous. The knobs for tremelo control were missing so I will put something similar on it. The cabinet is a little scuffed up. There is a Silvertone badge on the grill and the grill cover is not torn. None of the tubes were any good and so I put in a really nice set of tubes. The 6SC7GT is a bit rare as the base says it is a 6SU7WGT and the glass says it’s a 6SC7GT. It tests as a new 6SC7GT so it is going with the amp just because it sounds so good. Next I put it back together and turned it on with the volume turned down and went and got a guitar while it was warming up. When I got back, I put my ear by the speaker and heard nothing. I turned the volume up and heard what I hoped to hear, barley nothing. I plugged the guitar in, turned the volume up a little and this amp sounds great with lot of volume, tone and very quiet. The controls are very quiet as they are turned. The tremolo however is not working. The pictures tell the rest of the story and are part of the cosmetic description so please take a close LOOK at them. You will receive the item(s) pictured. This will be expertly packed with foam in place packs to help insure a safe arrival. The tubes will be placed in tube boxes and stored in the cabinet to protect them. We don’t mess around. We use new boxes and bubble wrap for packing. This leaves no mess in your office and you can just toss them when cleaning up. I will strive for positive five-star feedback from you by describing the item accurately, packing item so it will arrive safely and then sending you the tracking information when the item ships all of which we will do.
