Vintage Tube Amplifier PA Army Navy Surplus Power Supply 1940s. For sale untested but looks to be complete. Ive done some research and based on the type of knobs and look I believe this may have been manufactured by Scott or RCA possibly in the 1940s. I didn’t plug in and test and Ill leave it to someone who is more experienced with tube amps. Ive collected many vintage stereo receivers over the years and thats my forte so i will have to let this item go to someone interested in powering this beast up. Super cool but its pretty large and heavy for me to store. The power supply half weighs in at 74 lbs. The control half weighs in at 61 lbs. Grand Total Weight of 135 lbs. Please take in to consideration the weight of packaging materials. Each of the two halves have a dimension of 16″ x 21″ x 12 inches. The case is made of heavy gauge aluminum and it is still sturdy and not rickety. The meter says “Hoffman Radio Corp”. All tubes are made in the USA by RCA, Sylvania, Gm Delco, and CBS. Nice Vintage Fisher KX 200 Tube Amp- Serviced. Power supply rebuilt along with replacing necessary caps. The face-plate has some imperfections as seen in pictures. 10 ohm resister installed on power tube to act like a fuse if a tube shorts out protecting the transformers. Bias resister change from 330 ohm to 150 ohm. This keeps power tubes from running hot. Slow start current limiter installed , nice new walnut case far superior than original. Copy of original style cabinet. All sections operate as they should. New tung-sol power tubes installed with all 12ax7 tubes made by telefunken which where checked for strength leaks and shorts. This is a very nice sounding amp. You also get a copy of the operational manual. Also i forgot to mention that this kx-200 features two aux inputs which the other fisher amps do not. This has a great Pitch shifting Vibrato and reverb. These are 38 watts, all tube and a 12 inch speaker. This is a great working Magnatone amplifier. This has Reverb and Vibrato… There are two channels and also has a stereo input to blend the channels. The has the speaker cloth replaced. Tested and was working and sounding great… The light bulb does not light up… One tab broke off pot. This was tested and sounded great… When I initially turned it was a bit noisy. But after using it and cleaning the pots a bit she was nice and quiet. This tested and working. I a not an expert. If it needs some servicing then you will be responsible… Thanks and all the best…. Vintage Jackson Model JG2 50 Watt Tube Guitar Amp Works Great! Made in England This is a rare bird, as only 500 were made. Jackson had just done the Randy Rhoads Guitar, and then contracted Laney to build them a Randy Rhoads Amplifier. After the first batch due to mounting costs they scrapped the project and decided to just stay in the guitar market. This amp sounds like a hot rodded mix of a Marshall JMP and Plexi. The added gain comes from pulling the mid pot out which engages a midboost, and a 3 setting Orange style FAC knob to control how compressed you want the mids. Input one is the high gain channel and input two the clean channel, when plugged into input one you have control over both knobs to blend each channels distortion. When you plug into input two you just have the clean channel and input one knob is disabled. Everything from sparkling cleans to classic rock to classic metal tones. 50 watts powered by 2 El34s.
