I have owned this amp since the early 80s. Amp is in AS IS condition. Please refer to the pictures as part of the description. Amp is very bright sounding. Leather handle is missing. This amp can be played right now but would really enjoy a loving restoration. All tubes are original to me. I have replaced NOTHING in this amp. This is how it sat for the past 35 years. This is a real rarity. Fully refurbished and ready to rock. Comes with custom soft purple cover. Due to the custom, over-built transformers and MDF wood cabinet, this head is extremely heavy! Amp shows signs of its 40 year life including some stains and rust spots, but has never seen water damage and is in great shape electronically and cosmetically. Designed by Bob Rissi, it has what’s been called a “Fender Showman channel and an Allman Bros style mod’d Marshall Superlead channel”, an outuput section powered by two KT88s and spring reverb. This is a very unique and quirky circuit. I’ve found it to be very thick/chubby sounding and it takes some work to dial in a great sound depending on your application, otherwise it can get muddy or buzzy. It definitely has that unmistakable real vintage amp sound throughout that even the best reproduction and boutique amps fail to capture. I’ve found this amp to be especially stellar for overdriven bass guitar. Inside the amp there is what looks like a mod, however, I believe this to actually be a factory revision or customization voicing, as these amps were made one at a time to meet the needs of a specific artists from what I understand and no stock schematic exists to check it against. Vintage 1960s Supro 1 x 15 combo amp. Beautiful sounding and in excellent condition. All original except for grounded ac cord. Similar to a Thunderbolt with two channels, one of which has a gorgeous tremolo. Incredibly clean tolex, grill, and chrome looks almost new. Havent found a model number on this one or seen another quite like it. A truly remarkable example of these vintage Valco made Supro amps. Recently serviced Magnatone 410 amplifier. The electrolytic capacitors were replaced but the can cap was kept in place for looks (new caps were installed in the chassis). The tone signal caps are original as well as the speaker and transformers – the amp sounds incredible and has a great overdrive when pushed. There is one replacement knob. There is a very collectible and amazing sounding 1960′s guitar amp that should only go up in value.
