Amp works and sounds good. This model was the top of the line, most expensive. All point to point hand wired. I shot 2 videos: 1 prior to me removing from the cabinet…. And the 2nd after being removed from cabinet. In the 1st video, it states it comes with original tubes. I HAVE CHANGED OUT THE EL842 AND 12AX7S AND THATBIS THE STATE IT IS IN DURING the 2nd video. Also the 2nd video states I could not locate the original knobs. I DO HAVE THE ORIGINAL KNOBS as shown in the pics I took the next day. One knob is missing the inner sleeve that keeps the knob on snug. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take a moment and watch the videos… They describe and show the condition best. Should be worth at least that now! Just to clarify: Unit works and comes complete with all tubes but not original tubes. Up for sale, a 1956 Fender Deluxe in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a classic and well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit is very original and only maintained as strictly necessary, balancing originality and functionality. The preamp features original Stackpole pots and carbon comp resistors, as well as all of the original yellow Astron tone caps. The power amp has been professionally recapped as well, and the new caps have been sleeved in the original Mighty Midget wrappers for a seamless vintage look. The original power transformer is intact, and the original output transformer has just been rewound by Mercury Magnetics and not pictured, but will be installed before the amp ships. The amp is loaded with a combination of newer and vintage valves, and all tubes have been tested and work optimally. The speaker is the original Jensen P12R alnico 12 speaker with a clean teal frame and Jensen sticker. This speaker dates to the 41st week of’56, and retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “FI” stamp on the very clean tube chart, which translates to September of’56. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white text present along with stock chicken head knobs. In similar condition, the original tweed and oxblood grillcloth show only light wear on the edges of the enclosure, with light ambering of the lacquer on the tweed, and some requisite minor scuffs and corner wear. Both back panels are original as well, along with the stock leather handle. It’s an example that will satisfy collectors and serious players alike, and the amp has recently been given a clean bill of health, ready for your next gig or studio session. As the photos show, this vintage amplifier is very clean inside and out. All of the transformers are rust-free and the chassis is very clean as well. All of the knobs and switches are original and this amplifier has not been recapped. The face is in excellent condition with clear lettering, a bright white face, and all of the original lens covers are still in place. This was my main listening amp for years. The power supply caps began to get noisy around 2009 and that’s when I clipped the power cable (to prevent it being used until repaired) and put it in the closet. No tubes are included in this sale. Nine years have passed and I’m no closer to re-building the power supply than I was in’09, so it’s somebody else’s project now. These things are glorious when tuned up and running. (GREAT FOR GUITAR ENTHUSIASTS). Ok, so I have here an original Danelectro DM10 guitar Amp. It honestly sounds kind of like a Fender Champ. Not sure of the exact wattage, but I think it’s 5 watts. It’s all tube circuitry. Everything is original except the new tubes, new grill cloth, new speaker, and speaker board. When I received it 5yrs ago the speaker board was flimsy, the grill cloth was torn, and the Jensen speaker had a tear on it. New items added are. Tubes: (6V6GT) by Tube doctor, (12AX7C) X2 by Groove tubes, and a (6X4) vintage JAN GE. Celestion GBC-15 8″ “Eight 15 the label was custom printed, but it’s still a new speaker w/ the Celestion barcode on top. Installed a strong 1/2 plywood speaker board (see back pics). Fender grill cloth on front Now gives the amp a fender blonde face look! Everything works great, like it should. All pictures are the exact details you will receive. 1960 Fender Tremolux vintage tube amplifier chassis no. 02788 with 5G9 18 watt circuit. Reconditioned Jensen P12Q 12 speaker (not original but appropriate for this amp vintage). Amp has been professionally reconditioned by D. R Zink and has the following reconditioning details. 3 prong AC cord, all (Astron and Sprague NOS) capacitors, 1 5U4GB (RCA NOS), 2 6V6 GT (TungSol NOS), 2 12AX7 (TungSol NOS), 1 12AY7 (Electro Harmonix Gold NOS), 1-25 kOhm bias pot w/ 56k resistor. Transformers are in-specification original. Original grill and badge. Recovered tweed meticulously installed and aged to match back panel. Original knobs, chassis and cabinet. Transformer coding, chassis serial no. Internal chassis letter coding all date this amp as produced April of 1960 (see coding pictures). The power transformer coding is not legible but is original per Inspection by reconditioning specialist. I have owned this amplifier since the 80s. It sat around for years before reconditioning.
