Vintage Tube Amp

You are looking at a vintage Wards sound equipment piece. I think it is a guitar amp but not positive. The tubes light up when I plugged it in. Other than that I have no way to test. The unit is very heavy at just under 50 pounds. It is 18″ wide X 10″ tall X 11 deep. I have pictures that should show details and condition. Bought this from original owner about 15 years ago. I have used it since then for different lengths of time. It was never completely off for more than 60 days. About 12-15 watts per channel. One of these amplifiers belonged to my father. I had planned to do a tone control bypass and set these up as power amplifiers only. My friend Kara Chaffee, chief engineer at deHavilland Electric Amplifier Co, did the preliminary wiring to bypass the tone controls already. If you want integrated amplifiers, it is easy to reverse. What is left to do is change the power supply can capacitors, and probably the coupling caps, etc. Included is a schematic with Kara’s hand-written instructions on how to complete the mod. The power tubes are not pictured, but I will include a full set of vintage tubes with each amplifier. These amps are not functional in their current state. I guarantee that the transformers are good as they have been tested by Kara. Rest assured these will be safely packaged. Thanks and good luck! Complete Vintage Harman Kardon A50K (A500) A50K was the DIY kit version of the A500 Unit shows very nice build quality. Original Harman 7355 tubes (4) Original 12A7X tubes (4) Original 12AU7 tube (1) Complete Original Working Condition. Good Candidate for restoration / capacitor upgrade. All switches and knobs work but could use a good cleaning. Unit shows some oxidation on aluminum cover. This is a 60+ year old amplifier. It will need some love to perform like new again. 1950s Gibson GA-40 Les Paul amplifier. Original cabinet has been re-covered. Looks like late 50s Flot-a-Tone (Milwaukee amp company) complete with refrigerator handle. Speaker is a 12 Weber 30 watt Alnico. One transformer changed to a Classic Tone made in USA. Three prong ac cord added for safety. The amps sounds great. Not much headroom, but very creamy overdriven tones. Tremolo is very lush. Original single button footswitch included.
