Thordarson T7530 Vintage 2A3 Tube Audio Amplifier w/ 6792 7431 7432 Transformers. This is a very rare audio amplifier, made by Thordarson, model T7530. It utizes four 2A3 tubes, two type 76, one 6C5, and one 6F5. The transformers include a model 6792, 7432, and 7431. Output speaker impedance includes 4, 8, 15, and 500 ohm. The amplifier is in great condition for it’s age, as I hope you can see in the photos. The black crinkle-finish lookds great, with minimal corrosion on some of the knobs and trim pieces. Please note that no tubes other than the 6C5 and 6F5 are included. 2A3 and 76 tubes are not included. We have made no attempt to power-on this unit or test in any way. The prices on these classic amplifiers are going completely through the roof Im seeing people asking as much as six grand so Im accepting the first reasonable offer for my original 1964 Pre-CBS Fender Deluxe Reverb amplifier chassis in a vintage 1960s Gretsch cabinet it was mounted in long ago. An original 1969 Fender OEM output transformer model 022848 output transformer was installed to allow use with a multiple speaker cabinet, all else is original including capacirors. The 606-9-03 code on that output transformer dates it to the third week of 1969. According to literature this 4 ohm output transformer was used in the Bandmaster, Pro Reverb, and Vibrolux Reverb amplifiers so it was most likely robbed from one of those amps. The grill board and grill cloth on the old Gretsch head was cut from an original Fender baffle board (see the outline of where the Fender logo used to be) but the grill cloth is in bad shape and should be replaced if this head is to continue to be used. The only other minor modification I can find is where they opted for a solid state rectifier like the Twin Reverb and I believe the Bandmaster was built during this time period so they soldered in some diodes to the rectifier tube socket and placed a safety across the tube socket to prevent anyone from installing a rectifier tube. This is extremely easy to reverse, just unsolder and remove the two diodes (see photo) and remove the little safety guard from the tube socket (see photo) then you can use a GZ34 rectifier tube. This should take no more than five minutes. I have owned this amp for at least 15 years and have never used it. I was careful to bring up the voltage very slow on my variac when I bought it and it repeated this sequence about a year ago to test it again. The amp sounds fantastic with zero hum the last time I tried it and of course I will bring it up slow and test it once again before it ships. I will include a set of tubes so the amp is ready to plug & play as soon as it arrives. The original power cord is stiff and needs replacing and I recommend installing a three prong with ground anyway for safety. The filter capacitor cover is not missing, I only removed it to show the original brown Mallory filter caps with individual matching factory codes. Up for sale, a 1975 Ampeg B-15N Portaflex tube amp in good working order with fresh power tubes. The B-15N is one of the most recorded and highly regarded tube bass amp circuits of all time, and this classic four-input vintage model delivers the goods through the original heavy duty CTS 15 speaker. Manufactured in the USA by Ampeg and recently serviced, the amp is powered by a pair of new and properly biased JJ 6L6 power tubes for a robust 30 watts of output. Surprisingly powerful given its modest power, the B-15N excels at a dynamic and detailed tone that can be extremely warm, or distinct and bright. Paired with a Precision Bass, it’s the perfect recipe for Motown thump. A rare version produced for only a few short years with white rocker switches, this Ampeg has a sleek visual appeal. This head has a couple new caps in the power supply and the circuit is otherwise 100% stock. The stock transformers are both present, and the circuit retains the original CTS pots which date to 1975. The faceplate is notably clean, with all of the original black silkscreened graphics intact on the polished aluminum, and all of the original knobs are intact too. Aside from the new pair of power tubes and rectifier, the rest of the tubes are all vintage valves which work as intended and sound great. The fliptop head secures to the cab with stock latches, and the shockmounts the hold the head to the mounting tray are viable as well. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth is intact, and the original screw-in trolley is also present. There is some staining on the grillcloth, and wear on the cabinet around the edges, but overall, this is a fine example and a gig-worthy amp, freshly retubed and ready to go with an extremely original circuit and stock speaker. This 1959 Gibson GA-18 Exploer AMp is trulyin museum mint condition. It works exactly as it should and comes with all original parts.
