Extension Speakers: Each extension speaker (left and right on removable electrified hinges) has a 6 full range speaker. Has a pair of RCA female stereo output jacks on the back of cabinet to plug in extension speakers for optimal sound stage separation. Front Center Speaker: 6″ x 9″ oval alnico woofer. Tube Compliment: 6C4, 12AX7, 6BQ5 and 6BQ5. Has a power transformer. Has 2 x large output transformers approx. Cartridge: Tetrad, STEREO with new tone arm wiring harness, Diamond. 07 mil for LP’s on one side of flip over style needle and 3 mil Sapphire on the other side for 78′s. Note: A 45 spindle adapter IS included. BSR 4 Speed changer: 78, 45 16 and 33 RPM. New rubber motor mounts. New idler wheel (rebuilt). Original speaker grill cloth in excellent condition. Case has been cleaned and detailed with refinished hardware. There are minor former blemishes on case as seen in listing photos and YouTube video’s. The amplifier has been rebuild and serviced with new electrolytic filter capacitors and all old wax tubular capacitors replaced with new ceramic capacitors. The volume, Balance, Treble and Bass controls have been cleaned with Deoxit. The speakers have been inspected and cleaned of all dust bunnies. The power cord is original and in excellent condition. Up for sale, a 1956 Fender Champ in excellent condition and in perfect working order. A transitional model, this early 5F1 circuit Champ is a very rare iteration with a narrow panel enclosure, 6 speaker, and 5E1 tube chart from the Champ’s previous circuit designation. With a bit more splat and looseness than the later 8 speaker-equipped Champs, the hallmarks of the 5F1 circuit are still evident with this amp. It’s a simple and elegant circuit that drives a single 6V6 power tube for everything from snappy cleans (with a single coil) to thick overdriven bark (achieved easily even at low settings on the dial with a P-90 or humbucker). There’s nothing that can match the rich dynamic sizzle of a 5F1 Champ, an essential studio tool that always punches well above its weight on a track. The circuit features the original Triad power transformer, with an output transformer of similar vintage with the correct output characteristics and size, yet not original to the amp. The original pot and jacks are present too, and the circuit has been rebuilt with premium preamp and power supply caps and all carbon comp resistors. The chassis retains much of the original white silkscreen lettering and stock chicken head knob too, with minor pitting on the chrome faceplate. The original Stackpole pot is present, and the era-correct Jensen speaker has a clean frame and original foil sticker on the alnico magnet. The speaker has also been recently reconed, guaranteed to handle the full tonal spectrum that the circuit delivers. The “FL” stamp on the tube chart translates to December of 1956, and the chart itself is very clean, still retaining the 5E1 circuit designation of the previous Champ iteration (a very common occurrence in Fenders of this era). The tubes are all vintage valves including a General Electric 6V6 power tube and 5Y3 rectifier. Cosmetically, the original lacquered tweed is well cared for with modest ambering, some fraying at the right front corner, and a bit of staining on the bottom of the enclosure, which retains the original four nail in feet. Both back panels are original as well as the baffle, which retains the original oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe, while the leather handle is a modern replacement. This very early 5F1 circuit Champ is clean, recently serviced, and equipped with a 6 vintage Jensen speaker. Up for sale, a 1964 Ampeg B-15N “Flip-Top” Portaflex tube amplifier in excellent condition and in perfect working order, freshly serviced and ready for studio use. This clean B-15N is an early example with gleaming chrome, blue diamond tolex, a full set of vintage USA-made tubes, and stock CTS 15 speaker. As the amp that defined the Motown bass sound and a must-have for studios worldwide, the B-15N is the undisputed king of vintage bass tone, with a thick, thumpy sound that is round, detailed, and versatile, bringing out the best in your instrument’s natural tonal characteristics. The two channels each have a unique voice, with Channel One being a bit more mellow and smooth, while Channel Two has a touch more grit and bite, also making it an excellent choice for guitar (diming this channel out delivers a particularly nice overdriven roar with a humbucker or P-90 equipped instrument). Just given a checkup by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, this B-15N is ready for stage and studio use. The circuit features all of the original capacitors and CTS pots which date to the 21st week of 1964. The stock output transformer is intact, with a genuine vintage power transformer furnished by Fliptops. Fitted between the transformers, a new plexiglass Ampeg badge has been installed, illuminating as it should when the amp powers on. A new multi-pin connection between the head and cab has been installed, and the amp retains the original two-prong power cable. The speaker is the original CTS 15 driver with a clean black frame. This ceramic driver sound clear and powerful, keeping low frequencies rich and focused. The original tube chart is intact inside the cab, with the stamped serial number dating to August of 1964. Cosmetically, this amp is a particularly nice early B-15N, with clean white silkscreen text on the chrome-plated chassis and a full compliment of original knobs. The stock latches are still mounted to the original tray, and the shockmounts which secure the head to the tray are viable. The enclosure shows modest edge wear, particularly on the tray, yet as the photos show, this B-15N would look great in a studio. A new leather handle of the correct style has also been installed.
