Vintage Masco MA-25 amplifier tube head harp guitar amp etc PROJECT! This is an old Masco MA-25 MA-25 all-tube amplifier. Originally a PA head, but in recent times many have been converted for guitar or harmonica use. This one has never been converted. UNTESTED and can be presumed to be currently not working properly. I don’t see any obvious replaced parts (I think those Sprague orange drops could be original but that is a guess) so I didn’t plug it in; I’m sure the capacitors will need either replacement or possible reforming and I have not attempted that. Also, it still has the original multi-pin speaker jacks and I don’t have anything to use with those. Also, the inputs are screw-on style except for one RCA input which is for a mono phonograph. I hate to put things IN CAPS but I’m really trying to avoid someone getting this, deciding it’s too much work and then returning it. You can see cosmetically it looks pretty good. Missing two of the six screws that hold the bottom on but the four present do the job. I did test the tubes and all the small tubes (the 7 series preamps) test at 100% or better on my B&K 707 tester (which doesn’t mean that if you use your tester you might not get the same results as testers vary); the 5U4 rectifier also tests strong. One of the 6L6 tubes tests in the questionable range (around 60%) , other a bit better so you should plan on new power tubes anyway. Power cord possibly replaced as it looks newer. There is some finish damage and wear to the chassis and cover but overall it looks pretty good cosmetically and the Masco logo is intact. The maroon knobs are original. Could be a good project for someone with the skills and time but if not you should find someone with experience (Skip Simmons is maybe the top guy in the country for Masco restorations). _gsrx_vers_1233 GS 8.1.1 (1233). 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb Blackface Vintage Tube Amp 1x12 with Oxford 12K5, AB763

Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Widely considered to be one of the greatest tube amps of all time, this Deluxe Reverb has a very original circuit that has been freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar. Stocked with new properly-biased EH 6V6 power tubes and a full compliment of new JJ preamp tubes, this Deluxe delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in studios and on stages for decades. The amp has a clear and dynamic sound, delivering sparkling cleans that are a great effects pedal platform. The amp starts to saturate with smooth tube overdrive after about 5 on the volume dial, cascading into rich, lightly compressed crunch as you push the volume to 10. The Reverb is very lush with a long decay, and the tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three-dimensional quality to the effect when you increase the intensity. The circuit is very original, with all of the stock Schumacher-made transformers (Fender’s primary transformer supplier in the Blackface era) dating to late 1965. The preamp is loaded with the full compliment of the original blue Ajax molded capacitors, a key ingredient in the dynamic, musical tone of Fender’s Blackface amps, and all of the original CTS pots are intact as well, with date codes from 1965. The power amp has been professionally recapped with F&Ts, and the preamp features a new bias cap and smaller bypass caps to ensure the amp is operating within original factory spec. All new caps have been carefully sleeved in their original Minimite wrappers for a flawless vintage look. A three-prong power cable has been installed as well. The original Oxford 12K5-6 12 speaker is intact, freshly reconed and a very rare speaker, used only in the Deluxe Reverb. The speaker has a clean black frame, Fender blue foil sticker on the magnet, and 1966 date stamp on the frame. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is mostly intact too. Cosmetically, the amp is very original, with stock smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. The amp was at one time fitted with tilt-back legs, and the small mounting holes for this hardware have been cleanly doweled on the sides of the cabinet. The lower back panel is original, while the top panel is a modern factory-spec replacement. All of the original hardware is present including the chassis straps, handle caps, sphinx glides (feet), corners, and raised Fender logo on the baffle. The original faceplate also shows sparingly little wear with bold graphics and stock witch hat knobs. The original two-button footswitch is included. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to ensure that your amp arrives safely. Cary Cad 300sei Lx20 Kr 300b Tube Se Integrated Stereo Amplifier Amp Preamp Vtg

CARY CAD-300 SEI SINGLE-ENDED INTEGRATED STEREO AMPLIFIER MODEL LX20 (L9C-20). 2 KR ENTERPRISE HI VACUUM TUBE 300 BXLS (300B XLS); 1 SOVTEK 6SN7GT AND 2 NOT MARKED (believed to also be 6SN7′s). I found out some information about this amp from two kind ebayers and have revised the description as of 9/2/2020 using that input: This model is probably one of the rarest models of this amp ever made. The original SEI 300B amps put out 11 watts RMS (Class A)… Later and current models were rated at 15 watts RMS. That is the L9C-20 nomenclature printed on the faceplate of the amp. But with the right high efficiency speakers are very good integrated amps for a smaller listening area. Many audiophiles still consider them the best headphone amp on the planet. I believe the little LED light on the face plate right of the power switch and just above and left of “Cary” is a RHF remote control input device (these amps came with a remote, where the originals did not). Sadly, the remote is not included but you may be able to still find one. The amp appears to be in good working condition! I did not take apart and just tested the unit several times. Everything looks good except the chrome has a little light tarnish and one rub on the side and may clean up much better with a good cleaning, but overall nice looking unit as is. The rubber feet are sticky but according to Cary, that’s intentional and from pictures I sent them they said the feet are good, they just get stuff stuck to them and could be cleaned. GREAT ITEM, GREAT COLLECTIBLE! The item “CARY CAD 300SEI LX20 KR 300B TUBE SE INTEGRATED STEREO AMPLIFIER AMP PREAMP VTG” is in sale since Thursday, August 27, 2020. Made in England 1989 (inspection sticker on side of chassis dated “20-1-89″) AOR Series Pro-50 50-watt Tube head. These are great sounding, well built heads, similar in. Design to Marshall, their British counterparts. Founded in the 1960′s by Lyndon Laney (who used to jam with Robert Plant and John Bonham) they are. Not as well known as Marshall but they built a loyal following over the years including Tommy Iommi (for whom they built a special model/series) Randy Rhoads, Vinny Moore, George Lynch, Ace Frehley, Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, George 5 and Joe Satrianni. This should speak of their quality. I could see why as this is a more versatile amp, with a push-pull boost knobs on the bass, middle and treble knobs and also on the preamp knob. No tears in the tolex, minor wear, one foot missing and a little waviness in the label behind the pre-amp knob but overall in great shape for a head that is over 30-years old as the prior owner took excellent care of it. Additionally, in full disclosure the potentiometer shaft on the preamp knob was broken at some point in the past about halfway out. I was able to insert a shim into the knob and screw it down and the knob turns smoothly and functions properly including the push-pull feature. The tubes have not been changed for years as they sound fine and make no microphonic noise. After you receive it. I did open this amp up to spray out the potentiometers and took some pics while I was in there. See how nice and clean it is inside and h. Ow clean the Sovetek 6550WA and ECC883 preamp tubes are with plenty of silver left on top. Hard to date these amps based on serial numbers but these are known to be 80′s amps and the “Skot” output tranformer has a “89″ date code. The head could be more recent but (with some exceptions) amplifier manufacturers don’t usually stockpile a lot of transformers so the amp was most likely built in 1989. I also have a matching cabinet listed separately. Will pack well in a guitar box. Note my +1000 perfect feedback so you do have the option of returning. If you find the item is not as decribed let me know within 48 hours of receiving the item.
