Vintage Fender Princeton Reverb tube amp with JBL K110 Speaker. Early 1973 Production (Tail logo, some parts date to late 1972, others date to early 1973). Clean condition and working great. Reverb and tremolo both sound fantastic. Includes footswitch (see last picture). K100 speaker is a nice upgrade. Please view detailed pictures included. Comes as a complete working system. Really to plug-n-play and ready to be enjoyed for endless hours from one of the best tube amplifiers ever created. This is the last great compete Tube based audio signal path designed by the legendary engineer Sidney Corderman who sadly passed away in January of this year. This amplifier is a true work of art and must be seen and heard to be appreciated. Sonic performance is perfect condition. Physical condition is near perfect. There is one small chip in the glass in the very top right corner. Invisible at listening distance, but please see photos for zoomed in view of this imperfection. This amp is very conservatively built with miles of headroom across the entire frequency spectrum on the output stage! That is why is amplifier used eight KT88′s on the output. So Collins made some of the best sounding tube equipment from the late 1940s through the early 60s and this Collins 12Z is evidence of that. The build quality of this surpasses most other American makers of the time and rivals the German equipment made by Telefunken, EAB, and others of the same period. The 12Z is so overbuilt right down to the machined aluminum knobs. It is packed with transformers made by Thordarson, and attenuators by Daven. It is four inputs with a single output and will run on AC or batteries. All the transformers are. Good, it should be looked over by a tech to make sure all the caps are 100% before being used. FULLY RESTORED, RCA Hi-Fi tube amplified record player with extension speaker. 3 speed automatic V-M record changer, speeds are 33.3 RPM, 45 RPM and 78 RPM. 8 round Alnico speaker in main cabinet, oval speaker and tweeter in extension speaker enclosure. Cabinet refinished, touched up re-painted in areas and polished to look as great as it does in listing photos. Rebuilt changer, NOS TETRAD stereo cartridge and new diamond / sapphire flip over style needle. Comes with an automatic 45 spindle adapter. Legs with mounting brackets are not included but, available as optional and additional item. Amplifier has been serviced, tube pins tightened, tubes tested, old wax tubular and electrolytic capacitors replaced with new. Resistors tested and out of tolerance resistors replaced with new. Volume, Base, Treble and switch controls have all been cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit. A new power cord has been installed. The amp has a power transformer and a nice large output transformer. Selenium rectifier replaced with Silicone Diode. The motor, transmission and changer mechanism has been rebuilt and freshly lubricated. Three new rubber motor mounts have been installed. A new idler wheel has been installed. The platter surface has been cleaned to reveal original soft rubber surface. Amplifier has been recapped, controls cleaned and all out of tolerance resistors, capacitors and tubes replaced. The cartridge is A NOS Tetrad brand cartridge that has been installed. A new stereo 4 wire tone arm wiring harness has been installed with Tetrad plug. The cartridge has a new diamond needle with a. 07 mil stylus on one side for LP’s and a 3 mil. Sapphire stylus on the other for 78′s. Plays both stereo (bridged to mono) and mono records of all 3 speeds through mono amp. A little about me.
