Downsize sale is a rare vintage HH Scott Stereomaster Type 130 tube preamplifier. Its in good working condition. It was modified slightly with 6×4 rectifier tube which had been professionally replaced with 4 hi-end silicon diodes in July 1997. Comes with 2 W German tubes and 5 various us- made 12AX7 tubes. This listing includes a beautiful vintage Fisher 500C vacuum tube FM Stereo receiver in exceptionally clean and excellent working condition. This particular receiver was restored approximately 3-months ago by the original owner and has been fully tested. Some of the restoration work that has been done to this receiver includes: re-capping, replaced selenium rectifier, replaced resistors that were out of spec, aligned FM tuner section, re-stringing tuning mechanism, installed four feet on bottom of chassis, checking all solder joints for loose connections, cleaned all controls and switches with DeOxit, replaced any tubes that did not test strong including a matched set of 4 vintage RCA 7591 output tubes that were properly balanced and biased. This vintage receiver should provides many years (if not decades) of trouble-free operation. As the photos show, this particular receiver is extremely clean for its age with no corrosion on the chassis or transformers. The entire face and dial look great with clear lettering and the dial and meter backlights are working. All of the knobs are original and are in great shape with all of the brass knob caps in place. The original power cord is in great shape and is not brittle. Overall, this is one of the cleanest Fisher 500C receivers that you will find. The original owner had cared for and maintained it well over the years, which is why it still looks so clean cosmetically and, now that it has been restored electrically, it functions as great as it looks. From top to bottom, inside and out, this receiver looks absolutely gorgeous and would make a great addition to any collection or as a daily use unit. This receiver comes as shown in the photos. Except for the electrolytic capacitors which were replaced with top quality Sprague capacitors, all other amp components are, to my Amp knowledge, original. The amp is in very good working condition. Vintage Pioneer SX-800 Tube Stereo Receiver Amplifier 1965 Recapped 12ax7 7189a. Here is a 60s Pioneer SX-800 tube receiver. This was rebuilt in 2017. Every Suzuki capacitor and many resistors changed out. Good stuff was used!! I believe the rectifier changed to the newer style too. See pics for the work. It was our go to winter stereo, then got sidelined. It ran for hundreds of hours in the cool garage no problem. Almost always had the top off this thing it gets warm. I added tall rubber feet to let the air in. I started tube rolling, as the 12ax7 tone tubes change the sound a ton. They are now Electro Harmonix, a budget but great sounding tube. I like the sovtek lps too. There are tons out there.. Id search for new/nos 7189as. There are 2 GE and 2 with no markings. They sound great its just not a matched set. Remember these are not the 300V 7189, el84 or 6bq5s. These are the hotter 400 volt series. Music sounds crystal clear, sharp treble and good bass, but there is a tube rustle kinda sound that clears as it warms up. Not a hum just an underlying background ghost noise. When it warms up it is goes away. The first couple minutes I usually just keep the volume low and then start crankin! This is 25wpc but with good horn speakers it sounds punchy for sure, even pushing 15 altec 421s with the loudness switch on! Please inspect pics you can see the new caps and resistors top and bottom. There are newer style speaker connectors, and a new 2amp fuse holder. The pots work and arent scratchy. FM radio is sharp. This is old, and tube gear is finicky for sure, however this has been on for hours sounding great! This sounds crisp and clear, it is awesome, and the background noise is dead quiet. It is just a neat sounding unit. Writing this I dont even want to sell it, I just have a lot of stuff not being used and we have other projects to finish.. This will be boxed properly. Tube Amplifier PP 6L6. I brought it up slowly and all tubes lit up. It works but isn’t very loud, perhaps due to weak tubes. It needs to be repainted and recapped and the cord needs to be replaced. This listing includes a beautiful vintage H. Scott 222 Stereomaster vacuum tube integrated amplifier in clean and electrically restored condition. This amplifier was restored approximately 6-months ago by the original owner. Some of the work that was done to this amplifier includes: testing all tubes and replacing any weak tubes, replacing and balancing the four 6BQ5 output tubes, replaced the rectifier tube with a new 5AR4 tube, cleaned all controls and switches with DeOxit, replaced bad / out of spec capacitors, replaced any out of spec resistors, all solder joints have been inspected and any loose connections re-soldered, installed a new power toggle switch, installed four feet on the bottom of chassis. After the restoration was complete, this amplifier was bench tested and it is in great working / sounding condition. As the photos show, this vintage amplifier is exceptionally clean and was well cared for and maintained over the years. The entire face still looks very good but it does have a couple minor cosmetic blemishes (shown in the photos). As mentioned previously, a new power switch was installed on the side of this amp and, the two knobs on the left and right side (4 total) are not original to this unit. The original power cord is in great shape and is not brittle. All of the transformers and the chassis (inside and out) show only minimal wear and no corrosion.
