Up for sale, a 1968 Fender Bassman head in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This clean and well maintained vintage Fender head has transitional “drip edge” aluminum trim and an early Silverface faceplate, as well as the AA568 circuit. Recently retubed and biased with a pair of Sovtek 6L6 power tubes, this amp has a clear, powerful Fender tone that’s ideal for use with guitar or bass. The perfect platform for players who use a variety of pedals, the Bassman delivers a robust and dynamic tone, and after around 5 on the Volume dial the amp starts to push into smooth, lightly compressed tube overdrive. The circuit features original Schumacher transformers that both date to 1968, along with original CTS pots which also date to’68. The circuit features a professional recap of the power supply, as well as a new bias capacitor and a couple new caps and resistors in the preamp to ensure everything is operating within original factory spec. An additional knob was at one time added to the faceplate and subsequently removed, filled with a clean chrome plug. A three-prong power cable has been installed as well. The chassis itself is quite clean, with a stunning silverface faceplate, turquoise lettering, and original black witch hat knobs. The original tube chart is also present inside the head cabinet, with only the light wear on the top left edge. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe are intact and in great shape, and the stock aluminum trim is present as well. The stock corners, handle caps, and sphinx glides (feet) are also intact, while the piggyback clip bars are no longer present. Cosmetically, there is very little wear to report, with a few tiny scratches near the input jacks and a light scuff or two on the enclosure, but as the photos show, this is an extremely clean and well cared for vintage Fender Bassman head! This is the Vintage Alt Complete Stereo tube amplifier. What you need to do is just Plug & Play then enjoy it! The out put tubes uses 2 x EL34 tubes for stereo. Preamp uses 2 x 12AX7 tube while the rectify is 5U4 tube As you can see, it is very nice tube amplifier. There are 4 knobs for 2 channels. The first pair of 2 knobs are the volume and the tone for (L) channel while the other pair are the volume and the tone adjustments for (R) channel! There is a built-in ON/OFF switch inside knob. This is the stand-alone stereo tube amplifier. Please note that this tube amp was about 40/50 years old so nothing is guaranteed! It may be changed/modified for recap, resistors, tubes, wires, etc…. Inputs and outputs terminals (to speakers) were added for convenience. One fuse (1 A) was also added for safety. The handle bar(s) were added on both side too. Please see the photos. One of Fender’s purest circuits, the Vibro Champ’s Class A design delivers five all tube watts of clear, chiming cleans and raucous, sizzling drive with a twist of the Volume knob. This Vibro Champ breaks up nicely too, sounding positively huge with a mic in front of it. The Vibrato has a nice pulse and chop, and this amp is a studio and apartment-friendly combo that delivers a dynamic, sparkling vintage Fender sound. The circuit is practically untouched save for a single resistor and capacitor, and all components have been tested, ensuring optimal performance. The original Schumacher-made transformers date to’78, and all of the original CTS pots are intact. The tube complement includes an Electro Harmonix 6V6 power tube along with modern 12AX7s and a 5Y3 rectifier tube. The original tube chart is intact inside the cabinet as well. The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe is intact and remarkably clean, and the faceplate is positively gleaming with clean turquoise text and the full complement of witch hat knobs. David Bogen J130 Push Pull 6L6 Tube PA Amplifier. Tested and works well for Audio/Music or Microphone/Guitar. Includes microphone to 1/4 jack adapter for electric guitar use. This amplifier was plugged into a 4 x 12 speaker cab for testing. It has screw connectors for 4, 8 or 16 ohm cabinets. This amp will seriously overdrive when turned up and gets very loud with an electric guitar. The RCA phono jack can be used for line level (CD etc) inputs. All tubes test at least good (on an emissions type tester). The 5U4 rectifier tube and one of the 6L6 output tubes have broken guide pins but can still be used. The Red Power light works. The Fisher Model 500 Receiver Mono Tube Amp Works 1950′s Vintage. Lettering has faded but considering its age its in great shape. See pics for best description of condition. One knob (far right) has been replaced with a non oem one. The unit was tested and works. The only thing I noticed when testing was there is slight static when turning volume knob at a low Db the static does go away once the knob isnt turning even at low decibel. There is no static at all once volume is at Id say 20% or higher. Most likely the volume pot needs do dioxit or it can be left alone. Any questions please feel free to ask me.
