Up for sale, a 1958 Fender Deluxe with stunningly clean tweed in perfect working order, boasting the original Jensen P12R speaker and loaded with a vintage tube set. This Tweed has been incredibly well cared for, with a practically perfect chrome faceplate and expertly maintained circuit, retaining an immaculate vintage look down to the smallest details while also concealing new top tier components installed as needed to ensure optimal functionality. Few circuits are more desired and emulated than the narrow panel Tweed 5E3, and this amp delivers everything you’d expect from a well cared for amp from the last iteration of the Tweed line. Incredibly dynamic and harmonically rich, the Deluxe can be glassy and clear at low volumes, but for most players the magic is in this amp’s overdrive capabilities. Especially when connecting the two channels with a small jumper 1/4 cable, the interactive pair of Volume controls can dial in everything from fully saturated roar and snarl, to the particular sweet buzzy qualities with ideal midrange bite that you often times can’t coax out of any other Tweed circuit. This amp reacts well to a host of effects pedals and different guitars, but truly shines with the guitar plugged straight into the amp, using your volume knob to coax clean rhythm tones and singing leads with the twist of a knob. The circuit boasts the original Triad power transformer, with a Mercury Magnetics Tone Clone output transformer, made to exacting vintage spec with open end bells. All of the original CTS pots are intact, with matching date codes from the 43rd week of’58, and the preamp features new Mallory and Jupiter tubular caps installed inside the original molded yellow Astron casings. Similarly the smaller electrolytics and main filter caps feature new top tier Sprague components concealed inside the Astron Minimite wrappers, and even the original end caps for the capacitors have been reused. It’s the most exacting restoration work we’ve ever seen on a 5E3 circuit, and a gray three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tubes are all vintage USA-made RCAs with a matched pair of 6V6s. The original Jensen P12R alnico magnet 12 driver has a very clean teal frame and Jensen sticker, professionally reconed with a date on the edge of the frame from the 37th week of’58. The speaker retains the original speaker harness with cloth covered wire and stock 1/4 input as well. The other most pertinent date code is the “HL” stamp on the bright white tube chart, which translates to December of’58. The chrome on the chassis is incredibly clean, shining like few Tweeds still do with all of the original white silkscreened text present along with stock chicken head knobs. Even the original leather handle is still intact. The lacquered tweed is original and notably un-ambered, with the only wear of note being a single cigarette burn on top, while the oxblood grillcloth is modern on the original baffle. The PV10 drew on the technology of Conrad-Johnsons path-breaking Premier Seven to achieve musical performance beyond its modest price. The line stages are zero feedback design. The PV10A revision featured a new line stage circuit based on two 12AU7s. A bit more than a year after the introduction of the PV10A, a line-stage only version was offered the PV10AL. There have been three variants of the PV10A and AL. The first had the same control set as the PV10, as listed below. The second used a new balance control, with a detented center position that was out of the circuit. The balance enable/disable switch was deleted. Up for sale is a Rare Vintage 1956 Gretsch Electromatic Standard Guitar Tube Amp for Parts or Repair. It is in rough condition but has a lot of vintage vibe. Would be a great candidate for restoration. After some research of the serial # I believe it to be a 1956 model. (S#X64639) I have not done anything to it. Comes with original guitar cable as well. Amp appears to be all original. It is missing the volume and tone knobs. Guitar amp does power on and I did play my guitar amp through it however the volume is pretty low even at max volume. The tweed cover is in poor condition with several tears and plenty of vintage dirt. S eems to have some paint overspray on top. Amp weighs 12lbs 8oz and measures approximately 13.5X 13 X 7. THE AMP THAT NEVER LEFT HOME. PERFECT GRILL CLOTH – NO SMOKE STAINS!! NON SMOKING HOUSE —– ALL ORIGINAL AMP—- TIME WARP. COMES WITH ORIGINAL 60′s COVER (Not Repro). I bought this amp about 10 years ago from its original owner. It was bought in 67 by a guy that was going to learn guitar. It seemed like a good idea at the time but he never put the time in and the amp sat for 40 years in a bedroom closet. When I got it home, I powered it up with a variac just in case but there were no problems and everything checked out fine. I left it exactly as I found it, no mods, no components were replaced. The first 5 pics were taken this week, the rest were from 10 years ago when I had it apart. Sadly, Ive done the same thing as the original owner. It has sat in my closet with the cover on and has had less than 2 hours of use in the last 10 years. I’m not a guitar player, I play keys and will never get the proper enjoyment out of this amp.. This is a classic guitar players dream!!! I’ve heard this amp at the hands of a pro guitar player. The vibrato feature really makes this amp! TECHNICAL INFO – Amp is in excellent working condition. From the little I have used it, I haven’t had any issues at all. The power cord is the original one! It is nice and flexible with no cracks and I see no reason to replace it at this time how many 50 Y/O + amps can you say that about? Control knobs feel brand new because they have had no use to speak of! Sorry, the amp did not come with the foot pedal control so there is no control I can offer you. The pedal is needed to switch from vibrato mode to non-vibrato as you know. TERMS OF SALE – I offer this amp to someone that will hopefully enjoy it and use it more than once a year. Although it is in good working order now, anything can happen to a 54 year old amp with original components. This listing includes a beautiful vintage H. Scott 222C Stereomaster vacuum tube integrated laboratory amplifier in clean and electrically restored condition. This amplifier was restored approximately 6-months ago by the original owner. Some of the work that was done to this amplifier includes: testing all tubes and replacing any weak tubes, cleaned all controls and switches with DeOxit, replaced bad / out of spec capacitors, replaced any out of spec resistors, all solder joints have been inspected and any loose connections were re-soldered. After the restoration was complete, this amplifier was bench tested and it is in great working / sounding condition. As the photos show, this vintage amplifier is exceptionally clean inside and out and was well cared for and maintained over the years. The entire face still looks fantastic with clear lettering and all four corners are still sharp. All of the knobs are clean and in great shape. The original power cord is in good shape and is not brittle. All of the transformers and the chassis (inside and out) show only minimal wear and no corrosion. 1970 Marshall Super Lead 100 – 100W Guitar Tube Amplifier Head – Vintage. Up for sale, a 1970 Marshall Super Lead 100 in great condition and perfect working order. The Marshall Super Lead 100 is previously used and exhibits light signs of cosmetic wear which is normal for its age i. Presence knob missing gold cap and ohm ratings etched into the backplate. Also, the bottom of the head was tagged by previous owner with spray paint. The amplifier has been well maintained and serviced regularly. The heads produced under the JMP label from 1968 – 1972 are considered by many to be the high water mark of vintage Marshall amps. While brushed gold metal faceplates replaced the true Plexi faceplates in mid-1969, the Plexi sound remained the same and became even brighter and louder through the early 70s.
