MY BELOVED RICKENBACKER TUBE AMP. ITS TIME FOR IT TO FIND A NEW LOVING HOME. AMP HAS NOT BEEN USED BY ME VERY MUCH. IVE HAD IT 15 YEARS AND PROBABLY PUT LESS THAT AN HOUR ON IT. IT HAS ALWAYS WORKED RELIABLY AND I HAVE NOT DONE ANY MODIFICATIONS PERSONALLY. VINTAGE RICKENBACKER GUITAR TUBE AMPLIFIER AMP M8-E HAS AN 8 INCH JENSEN LOUDSPEAKER CLASSIC OLDIES SOUND WHEN VOLUME KNOB IS LOW, AND PRODUCES A BEAUTIFUL CRUNCHY OVERDRIVE WHEN CRANKED UP. IVE ONLY EVER TURNED IT UP TO 8 ON THE KNOB. IT REALLY SOUNDS GREAT. I WILL MARK AS FRAGILE ASWELL. Power cord needs replaced, unless you have a death wish. It powers up, lights up inside and out. I didn’t hook anything up to it to check it out, so it is as is where is, and an is what is sort of sale. There’s some house paint on it, that came off with a little effort. I think it’s latex (try Windex or ammonia) and it’s on the rear of the unit. There is some kind of glue on the front lower area where there is also a chip. I didn’t clean this up much as you can tell by the photo of the inside and the dust. Maybe if I get some spare time, I will check it out and update things. Thanks for stopping by! Vintage Sherwood S5500 ii Integrated Tube Amplifier W/ housing. CLEAN W/Original Owners Manual as pictured. Cosmetically it literally looks like I got it off the show room floor! There are no scuffs or scratches on this unit nor is there anything wrong with it to my knowledge. I have only used aux 1 and phono inputs. The phono inputs are extremely powerful. Volume knobs have been cleaned with electro wash, but other than that that’s all I have done to the unit! I have ran the unit at a 4 ohm and an 8 ohm load and unit performs great. This unit is a tube amp and you get a true 64 watts. I recommend turning the Gain up a little over half way and using the loudness knob to adjust volume. This unit has a lot of bass and can cause a tube rumble if the turntable is on the same shelf as the amplifier. I will make sure to professionally pack this amplifier and box it up with all precautions taken. I will have the tubes labeled with drawings showing which location the tubes have been previously operating in. I will also individually pack each pre amp tube and the two smaller output tubes and have them labeled. I’ve had this one so long I don’t even remember where it came from. I do remember getting it with no tubes. It does power up. You can hear the power transformer hum a bit when turned on.
