The gorgeous leatherette cabinet with offset chrome trim framing a pinstriped faceplate is sure to turn heads. ADMIRAL TUBE STEREO AMPLIFIER J-104X. Sweet sounding amplifier aprx. 12 to 15 watts per channel in push pull mode. Input driver tubes are 6fq7/6Cg7 , output power tubes are the 6bq5 in push pull mode. Look at the pictures, what you see is what you get. All tubes are included, included tubes are from the 1960′s era and have been in use for some time. Inputs are on the side of the amp, only 2 inputs are active (LEFT AND RIGHT).

My great Uncle was in the recording industry and often received gifts from other artist. He loved gifting my Father with stereos and record players. My Father recently had this Fisher 500 C serviced by one of the best HI-FI service/repairmen in NJ EBC Electronics. Pictures show all functions, tubes and burn in no smoke just tubing. The Fisher 500-C features a full function pre-amplifier section with twin phono inputs, auxiliary input, monitor input and tape input (for direct connection to the tape head). The Tuner section features a multiplex FM system with mono and stereo options. Power output: 30 watts per channel into 8? (stereo). Frequency response: 25Hz to 25kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 0.7%. Input sensitivity: 3.3mV (MM), 450mV (DIN), 230mV (line). Signal to noise ratio: 80dB (line). Channel separation: 50dB (line).

It’s a dual-channel amplifier, probably dividing the bass and the remainder of the audio signal as was common in electric organ circuits. It was last powered on a bench about 10-11 years ago. The AC cord has been cut, and there’s some light rust corrosion in spots. The transformers are good, no shorts; this is a very good conversion candidate, perhaps changing the 7868 sockets to host 7591s – that’s just one of several possible directions to take this vintage project! I have a peavey USA classic 20 all tube amplifier from the 1990s for sale. It is in excellent working and physical condition. Really nice and a perfect all tube grab and go amp. That really shines when hooked up to an external cabinet. They just reissued these. And made in China. A real time capsule. Thanks for your time.
