Trio S-45 Hi-Fi Tube Stereo Amplifier Vintage Japan Estate Untested
Monday, March 9th, 2026

Offered here is a vintage Trio Hi-Fi “Stereptor” Model S-45 stereo adapted tube amplifier, manufactured in Japan by Kasuga Radio Co. Under the Trio name (the same lineage that later became Kenwood). This unit comes from the Area 51 Warehouse, part of a carefully preserved lifetime estate. The original owner was meticulous and technically inclined; equipment was stored indoors for decades and left largely untouched. This is not a recent flip or salvage pull-it is honest estate audio. The Trio S-45 is a tube-based stereo integrated amplifier with. Selector for Tuner / Aux / Phono / Tape Head. Bass and treble controls. Rear speaker taps (0 / 4? / 8? / 16?). Multiple rear inputs. Vacuum tubes present and visible. Early Trio tube gear is increasingly collectible, especially among Japanese hi-fi collectors, tube restorers, and vintage stereo enthusiasts. This model sits right in the sweet spot: early stereo era, tube output, and classic industrial styling. Area 51 Warehouse provenance (included at the top of the listing). Area 51 is a warehouse discovery at Exit 51 – a meticulously preserved lifetime collection we’re honored to place into collectors’ hands. Tubes present (not removed, identified, or tested). Power cord present. Heavy dust, oxidation, paint wear, and cosmetic scuffs consistent with age. Perforated metal cover intact. Control knobs present; some cosmetic wear. No internal cleaning or servicing attempted. Overall condition reflects an original, unrestored vintage tube amplifier-ideal for restoration or careful recommissioning. Carefully packed and padded. Tubes protected in place; unit double-boxed. Review all photos carefully.
