Drexel Declaration Motorola Stereo Console Record Player SK52W 1961 All-tube

For your consideration: the Drexel Declaration Motorola Stereo Console Record Player SK52W from 1961. This example would be a fine addition to your mid-century themed living room. Featuring walnut veneered Drexel cabinetry in beautiful shape and the original caned speaker fabric in like-new condition. This is an all-tube 21 in all! Unit featuring a 3DG4 rectifier and 7 drivers including a huge 15-inch center woofer. You can stack and play vinyl on the record changer, tune in (via the “magic eye” tube tuner) to local broadcasts, or use the stereo tape input to connect a CD player or Bluetooth adapter for your cellphone’s playlist. This particular console is in excellent unrestored condition. The tuner and record changer work. Electronics are over 60 years old, so the amplifier and pre-amp/tuner will need to be serviced by a professional. The record changer has a good motor and cartridge, but will need a new needle for better tracking. I have replaced the crossover capacitors for the speakers so the unit sounds spectacular with that all-tube warmth and a powerful presence with that 15-inch center woofer. The unit weighs approximately 175 lbs and measures 52″ wide by 20″ deep by 31 high. This is local pick-up only.
