Astonishingly good original working condition, with clean, modern, mid-century styling, silver-gold face. Rated at 20 watts/channel. Controls and switches are cleaned and smooth. For sale is a vintage, cute. Lafayette LA-214 Tube Stereo Amplifier, EL84/6BQ5 Single-Ended, All Vintage Tubes. I tested the amp (using headphones because the speaker posts are kind of rusty and questionable). All tubes lit up OK but I only get music on LEFT channel, with cracking noise sometimes when I adjust the knobs. Sometimes the signal simply got cut off. So, the electric contacts are not very stable. I then swapped the power tubes, but only had loud hum on the right channel. I stopped my testing right there. So, I believe the amp may have all transformers fine, but needs service/repair to get it back to normal. Not sure about the tubes condition. Physical condition is fair, as you can see in the pictures: rust, discoloration, dust, etc. One screw on the top cover is missing. I have other audio equipment, like.
