This unit is in decent condition, showing its gigging past with a hand-painted “Bavarian Edelweiss Trio” above the speaker port – a charming relic from its early days. Despite some cosmetic wear, it delivers a huge, wide, and full-bodied sound that makes it a joy to play. Notable Features & Highlights. Two-part construction : amp head separates from the speaker cab, connected via included cable, so you can position the head wherever is most convenient. Dual mic inputs with multiple instrument inputs, making it ideal for a small ensemble or multi-instrument setup. Unique “tone selector” circuit acting like a band-pass filter, allowing precise EQ-style tonal shaping. Vintage tubes : packed with GE and Westinghouse glass for classic warmth and character. 25 watts of tube power, delivering rich, dynamic sound with excellent bass response. Tremolo is currently non-functional. One original handle remains (fraying), the other replaced – not recommended to lift by the fraying handle. This is the Sound you’ve been looking for! Very Good Vintage Condition & Sounds Great. 1958 Premier 76 USA Guitar/Harmonic/Mic Suitcase Amp. Needs Handle, But Works Perfectly. Here’s The Run Down. This is a Very Cool Premier 76 All Tube Suitcase Amp. That would surprise you for sure, if you’ve never played through one. It’s in good shape overall for a 60 year old amp and is mostly original from what I can see. The original Jensen Speaker sounds great, has very good clean tones and breaks up beautifully when cranked up on all inputs. It seems all inputs put out a very similar volume. This amp has been used by me and operates/sounds exactly as it should. It appears to have an input for a tremolo foot switch, but I have never had one and will not be included. The tremolo works perfectly (foot switch not needed to operate). It has a makeshift handle that works, but a nicer one should be in order. I can see a few changed screws here and there, a 3 prong power cord, but otherwise nothing else obviously changed. There will be marks scuffs, wear and tear as well as other flaws since it is vintage, but no abuse, just use & age. Up for sale, a 1958 Premier model 76 in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. Produced by Multivox-Premier in New York during the golden age of the electric guitar, the 76 model was a revolutionary for its time two-piece suitcase design. This two-channel amp is extremely original and also fully serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar to ensure optimal reliability and tone. Via the original Jensen field coil F12Q speaker, this amp delivers w. Arm, polite cleans with a bit of spank, but where the amp really thrives is when the Volume and Tone controls are dimed out. The overdrive this amp can deliver is astounding, with h. Uge saturated crunch that barks and spits with the best. The low end stays tight and the distortion is rich and dynamic. As an added bonus, the second channel features a tremolo circuit which. Goes quickly from subtle to full on square wave chop and cut, stuttering like few tremolo circuits can when you turn up the Intensity knob. The circuit retains the original transformers and all of the original pots as well, with a true point-to-point wired design. Both the preamp and power amp have been expertly recapped as necessary, leaving original components whenever possible and only swapping components when they ceased to function. The two halves of the amp connect with the original umbilical cable, and the original two-prong power cable is also intact. The Jensen speaker has a flawless deep green frame, original cone, and date code from early 1958. Cosmetically, the amp is extremely clean, with a polished brass faceplate with immaculate silkscreen graphics and a complete set of original (and colorful) bakelite knobs. The faux woodgrain and mustard covering on the amp is quite a bit more fragile than Fender tolex or even tweed, yet has remained completely intact along with the original black rubber feet and leather handle.
