Here is a super Stromberg Carlson AU57 amplifier complete with all tubes. Every tube is a vintage RCA and tests great. One of the 6L6GC tubes test good, but is weaker than the other. (2) – RCA 6L6GC. (2) – RCA 12AX&. (4) – RCA 12AU&. (1) – RCA 5Y3. (1) – RCA 6X4. The amplifier is tested and works very well. I started to recap some of the amplifier and just ran out of time. Included is a complete recap kit. Also, a picture of the schematic with capacitor locations which make it easy to install new caps. That should bring this unit to 100%. Powerful 6V6 Push-Pull tube amplified. 4 speed automatic V-M record changer, speeds are 16 RPM, 33.3 RPM, 45 RPM and 78 RPM. 2 x 8 round Alnico speakers. Cabinet and legs has been refinished, touched up re-painted in areas and polished to look as great as it does in listing photos. Rebuilt changer, NOS TETRAD stereo cartridge and new diamond / sapphire flip over style needle. New speaker grill cloth. Comes with legs and 45 Spindle adapter. TUBES: 6X5, 12AX7, 6VA6, 6V6, 6V6 in push-pull configuration. SPEAKERS: Cabinet contains 2 Alnico 8 round, full range speakers. Comes with an automatic 45 Spindle adapter, tested and working as it should. Case / Cabinet have been re-finished, interior deck and lid touched up and painted. Speaker grill cloth has been replaced with new grill cloth. A new jeweled 120V pilot lamp has been installed and a new jewel indicator lens. Amplifier has been serviced, tube pins tightened, tubes tested, old wax tubular and electrolytic capacitors replaced with new. Resistors tested and out of tolerance resistors replaced with new. Volume, Base, Treble and switch controls have all been cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit. A new power cord has been installed. The amp has a power transformer and a nice large output transformer. The motor, transmission and changer mechanism has been rebuilt and freshly lubricated. Three new rubber motor mounts have been installed. A new idler wheel has been installed. The platter surface has been cleaned to reveal original soft rubber surface. The cartridge is A NOS Tetrad brand cartridge that has been installed. A new stereo 4 wire tone arm wiring harness has been installed with Tetrad plug. The cartridge has a new diamond needle with a. 07 mil stylus on one side for LP’s and a 3 mil. Sapphire stylus on the other for 78′s. Plays both stereo (bridged to mono) and mono records of all 4 speeds through mono amp. A little about me.
