Vintage Tube Amp

This is shown in picture. Mostly all original except for an added RCA connection and 2 Film coupling capacitors. The 6.3 tap is for standard stereo speakers. This amp has been fully tested by a professional electronics engineer and outputs 100 watts RMS.

Mostly all original except one capacitor was replaced and mounted using a perf board. Bias adjust meter makes setting easy. The 6550 output tubes have lost their key as shown in photo, there is an arrow that shows how they are inserted correctly without the key. Multiple Taps for different impedances. The amp will also drive a 70 volt line, 100 Watts at 50 ohms.

Orange OR100 Vintage Tribute Guitar Amplifier 100w Tube Amp Head. Amps works perfectly with no issues. Honestly has been the only amp thats tone I have fallen in love with but I dont play much anymore and would like to see it go to a good home that will use it. Its a tribute to the old OR series with a modern punch of gain added. They no longer make these models which makes them even cooler to own. It has a couple minor dings in the leather but is in overall really good condition and kept in a clean non smoking environment its whole life. 1970 Marshall Super Lead 100 – 100W Guitar Tube Amplifier Head – Vintage. Up for sale, a 1970 Marshall Super Lead 100 in great condition and perfect working order. The Marshall Super Lead 100 is previously used and exhibits light signs of cosmetic wear which is normal for its age i. Presence knob missing gold cap and ohm ratings etched into the backplate. Also, the bottom of the head was tagged by previous owner with spray paint. The amplifier has been well maintained and serviced regularly. The heads produced under the JMP label from 1968 – 1972 are considered by many to be the high water mark of vintage Marshall amps. While brushed gold metal faceplates replaced the true Plexi faceplates in mid-1969, the Plexi sound remained the same and became even brighter and louder through the early 70s. Not fully sure what to call this one, but reckon it was a Sola Sound branded Vampower build originally, but the clipped off front panel might have been factory, no real need to have clipped it off for the presumably new sleeve in its history. Other half of the intact example had the model SS100. Its basically a vampower, with the bite control. Clearly had a life, and seems to have a power resistor that wasn’t soldered at one end from new, but it apparently worked enough to have been used a lot. Put new caps in underneath the chassis to retain the symmetry on the top, few resistors and such replaced inside. The built in’bite’ distortion is not to my taste, the clean is mighty, but think that distortion is part of the Vampower magic people are after. Obviously this is a heavy lump, but I can have it couriered, would massively prefer collection though. Kelly amps are kind of a rare boutique version of Selmers. This in particular is a rare variant therein as it is 100w, don’t really see this format of Selmer in 100w, those are generally SV style. This is a simple and great sounding amp, all made on tag strips inside, two simple three knob channels, fantastic clean sound, loads of headroom. Definitely had a life but been thoroughly gone over, recapped, various drifted components complaced and revalved. Definitely don’t come up often. Ideally should come and try it out. Got instruments and cabs here. Obviously this is a heavy lump, but I can have it couriered, would massively prefer collection though. This amp has been sitting on a shelf for the past 16 years untouched. I finally decided to see if it worked. I first tested all the tubes and found that they are all well into the “GOOD” area of my tube tester. I ramped up the voltage over 12 hours. All controls are silent. As a preventive measure I treated all controls with Caig Labs. I will say that the BRIGHT input definitely has a major effect. This amp is billed as a BASS amp. I did a lot of net research and many people agree that any guitar will work just fine. It has the original heavy duty 9 foot AC cord. It was also noted that this amp evidently is somewhat rare and very desirable. I was a bit shocked when I removed it from the carton it was stored in. This puppy is unbelievably clean. The paint is bright and gleaming. I did not see ANY wear around the volume control knob. That seems to indicate, at least to me, that it was not abused in any way and probably saw relatively little use. This amp does NOT have any housing/case. The transformers on this puppy are massive. Lots of headroom I imagine. I played some hardrock through it for many hours and the transformers didn’t even get warm. This obviously is a beautiful unit. I will tell you the negatives. Two of the tubes had wire springs on the 9 pin tubes to keep them in place. The spring wires are missing. At some point two of the four 6L6GC tube sockets were replaced with white ceramic sockets. I would have replaced all four. They are readily available and certainly easy to replace. I checked the bias voltage and it was right on at -29.5 volts. I think it would be quite a task finding another U-1061 in this condition. MEASUREMENTS: The measurements of the amp itself are 22x11x9 inches. If this is of concern I encourage you to read some of the comments in my feedback profile. I do NOT sell junk. I have packaged this amp up extremely well. This is a very heavy beefy unit weighing 35 pounds by itself and weighing 44 pounds all boxed up. I removed all the tubes and packaged them in an enclosed separate carton for safety.
