Rare Vintage 1940s Johnson Junior Guitar Amplifier. Made by Johnson Sound Systems of Brandon Manitoba. Did I say Rare? I meant Super Rare. I know of only a handful of amplifiers existing from Johnsons in Brandon, of any model. And only 1 Junior. And this Junior is in “like new” original condition. Cosmetically excellent, and is working nice and clean. All parts and components are original. A rare chance to own a rare Amplifier from an iconic Canadian music/guitar shop from the past. Due to its age, it would be surprising if it did not need some updating to parts. It comes with its tubes (untested) and a power transformer that plugs into it. The transformer has some cut wires that went to the projector. It does not have a power plug. There is a speaker plug on the side. The amplifier does not rest flatly – part of it is at a different height, and there is a raised lip on one edge. Cosmetically it is i good condition with light wear. For sale is a very rare 1940s MASCO MA-35N integrated Amplifier. This would be a great restoration project. I’m sure it would have a great sound if someone took the time to clean it up. All the wiring and tubes look to be in great shape and I wouldn’t be half surprised if works as-is (provided you have a power cord for it). Of course, using it as-is would be insanely unsafe and it should absolutely be gone over by a professional before all else. I’ll be honest, the asking price is a bit of a shot in the dark. These are SO RARE that I can’t get a solid idea of how much it’s worth. Shoot me an offer. Came out of a building supply selvage shop in New Orleans. This lot belonged to my great grandfather and hasn’t been used since the 60′s or 70′s and has sat around in a climate controlled environment all these years.
