Up for sale, a 1964 Silvertone 1483 “piggyback” tube amplifier, recently serviced and in perfect working order. A favorite of guitarists for decades for its smooth breakup, dynamic tube tone, and simple, intuitive control layout, this particular amp was owned by Seattle band Death Cab for Cutie. The circuit has been professionally serviced and recapped as necessary, with a new, properly biased pair of Electro Harmonix 6L6 power tubes and a combination of newer and vintage valves in the preamp. The CTS pots date to the 20th week of 1964, while the original Jensen 15 C15P speaker dates to the 30th week of’64. Cosmetically, this amp shows some wear through the gray thatched covering on the cabinet in particular, while the head is cleaner overall. Both head and cab are structurally sound and complete with original hardware. Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. 1965 Supro Thunderbolt S6420 Vintage Tube Amp 1x15 Jensen C15N

Up for sale, a 1965 Supro Thunderbolt in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This legendary tube amp was made in the USA by Valco and comes complete with a fresh compliment of JJ tubes. Lightly compressed, focused and incredibly rich sounding, the Thunderbolt pushes 35 watts through a pair of 6L6 power tubes and a Jensen C15N speaker. For everything from clean, wooly rhythm tones to saturated tube overdrive further up on the volume dial, the Thunderbolt delivers a pure sound with a simple yet ingenious circuit and only two knobs for Volume and Tone. This is the earlier iteration of the Thunderbolt with a tube rectified circuit that has that quintessential sag. The circuit is thoroughly serviced and extremely clean, with both transformers dating the amp to 1965. The preamp has been fully recapped to ensure the amp responds as per factory spec and two new Alpha pots were also installed. The chassis is notably clean with chrome that shows only light surface patina and original black silkscreen graphics and knobs. The amp has been retolexed in correct “midnight blue vinyl” with silver sparkle grillcloth. There is some wear on one side of the cabinet and one notable spot on top where it appears the texture of the tolex melted. If you’re looking for the essential Valco/Supro tone for recording or live use, look no further than the Thunderbolt! Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam, and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. 1973 Fender Musicmaster Bass tube amp modified with a vintage 15 Jensen speaker, and modern grounded plug. The baffle was replaced before I aquired the amp and is particle board, painted black. The speaker is a tight fit and the amp is rather light for its components. It sounds amazing and that speaker provides a marvelous thump and growl with P90′s, and intense warm lows with single coil pickups. There is a sweet spot between 6 and 8 with beautiful breakup. It sounds cool dimed, but too fuzzy and brown for my taste. It has a baby deluxe vibe before it starts to really overdrive. Great amp, great size. The item “Vintage 1973 Fender Silverface Musicmaster Bass Modified 1×15 Jensen Tube Amp” is in sale since Friday, September 01, 2017. 1973 Traynor YBA-4 1x15 Speaker Vintage All Tube Bass Combo Amp S/N 4083371

Up for sale is a rare and excellent tube amp by Traynor. This amp was originally designed to be a bass amp. But like the legendary Fender Bassman, this amplifier sounds TERRIFIC with 6 string electric guitar! This is what I use this amp for, and its amazing in its own little (or more like big) unique way! Since it was designed for bass, this amp has a 15 inch speaker. And I think the speaker gives this amp more depth and body to your single notes, more so than your typical 12 or smaller speaker amps. Possibly with the exception of many of your Fender tube amps, such as the Twin Reverb and Deluxe reverb, which this amp sounds very reminiscent of, to my ears. Note: the original speaker has been replaced by a newer 15. I dont know what the new speaker is, and I dont really want to have to open up the amp if I dont have to. All I know about it is that it sounds GREAT! Add to your palette the top end sparkle that only amps with valves can give you, and youve got one complete sonic solution in your repertoire! All haughty descriptive words aside, this thing can get LOUD quick! It can definitely handle all but the largest venues with ease. Another cool feature of this amp is that there are 2 input sections to this amp, one seeming to have a little higher gain than the other, and each having a hi and low input jack, for a total of 4 inputs! So you can jumper one input side into the other using a patch cable, and really attain all of the tonal capabilities and options of this superb unit! This famous vintage awesome sounding Traynor bass amp is a true collection piece! It is all tube and all point to point hand-wired old school construction that truly is built like a tank which makes it ready for tonal power! Has side handles for easier carrying and transport! 3 x 12AX7A Preamp Tubes. 2 x 6CA7EH Power Tubes. 2 Channels Each w/ Volume Knobs. Bass and Treble Knobs. Hi-Low “Range Expander” Knobs. Weight: 67.6lbs (30.7kg). Please read the condition description as well as these listing details, and examine the pictures carefully! The item “1973 Traynor YBA-4 1×15 Speaker Vintage All Tube Bass Combo Amp S/N 4083371″ is in sale since Wednesday, August 03, 2016. 1965 Gibson Atlas Medalist Vintage Tube Amplifier 1x15 6L6 Fully Serviced

Up for sale, a 1965 Gibson Atlas Medalist tube amplifier in excellent condition and in good working order. This vintage Gibson amp is quite massive in stature and tone with a single 15 speaker and 50 watt output via a pair of 6L6 power tubes. Volume, Treble, and Bass knobs are all the Atlas Medalist needs to create a dynamic range of tones from warm, detailed cleans to very raw and rich overdrive. The crunch sound has some real heft and punch with sizzling top end. This amp has been completely serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, with a thorough recap of the circuit, freshly biased Ruby 6L6 power tubes, and a modern three-prong power cable. The original CTS speaker is present in the cab and has also been freshly reconed. The speaker code dates to 1965, as do the original transformers. Cosmetically, the amp retains its original rough dark gray tolex, and most of the original black silkscreen text is present on the brushed aluminum faceplate. The knobs are vintage but not original to the amp, and one of the two back panels on the cabinet is missing, which is not at all a bad thing, as it simply gives the amp a more open, airy sound. All three original handles are present and the stock casters make this a fairly easy amp to move around. This Gibson Atlas Medalist is fully serviced and ready for stage and studio use! Check out our shop “Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, ” and please let us know if we can answer any questions! We use double thick boxes, 1″ foam and industrial 1/2″ bubble wrap to assure that your amp arrives safely. International orders will be declared as merchandise, and the value of merchandise will be declared as the amount paid. We cannot declare anything as a gift or for a lesser value.
