Vintage Tube Amp

Here is a Sano Model 160 guitar / accordion amplifier. All tube combo, with a 12 speaker. From what I found on the internet, this amp output is at 16 watts. Features reverb and tremelo. Overall in good shape. Only real drawback I could find on this amp are the following. When using the reverb option, it starts feeding back once you go past about volume 3. I’m sure putting the reverb tank in a bag would help some, but I never got around to it. The only other thing I can fault with the amp is that the handle is very tight, and doesn’t really a whole lot slack when you pick it up. Other than that, pretty clean amp. Looks to have all the original tubes. Great for fans of : retro / old school / vintage / ampeg / new jersey / 50′s 60′s / fender / silvertone / harmony / blues / champ / deluxe / usa. This is a killer example of a 1960′s GIBSON EXPLORER AMPLIFIER. Model number is GA-15 RVT. Amp is in great working order. This model has a foot switch (included). This is an amp that has both reverb and tremelo. Very strong and loud amplifier. Cosmetically it is in the very nice shape. Show slight signs of age and storage, but presents wonderfully. Vintage early 60′s Silvertone by Danelectro 1472 combo guitar amplifier. Clean as a whistle. You know you want it! Please don’t miss this listing.. I have given you many more photos below so please scroll down. One owner, all original. Will need a tune up to be tiptop, read below. Sounds great with lots of power and crunch (surprisingly so). It’s obvious why these particular amps are becoming so popular. The sound is so good and addictive that I played through this amp for over an hour the first time I tried it. A poor mans Deluxe. Amplifier appears to be all original down to the Silvertone marked tubes (All but one tube is original). Looking inside appears to be all original and unmolested. Nobody has been in there since it left the factory. The only difference between the 1472 and the 1482 is a few more watts on the 1482. But you give up the better styling for sure. The earlier black tolex and fridge handle slay the cheap econo look of the later 1482. Amp has some hum when playing (to be expected with original caps) but much quieter than I expected. Tremolo works but the full range of adjustment (strength and speed) is between “7-10″. You have to turn the knobs up that high to get the trem effect. This is due I’m sure to drifted values of some electronic components. Original electrolytics which are due for replacement. Physical condition is really sharp and well preserved. I gave it a quick wipedown that was it. Refrigerator handle is perfect with no cracks like you often see. Bottom is perfect with 4 original feet and no tearing or damage. Corners and some edges have some light wear. This is easily the nicest one I have seen listed for sale. All original and untouched in working shape is where you want to start…. George Valiant 664 Amplifier. Here is a rare St. George amp from the 60′s! It’s in excellent working condition and sounds great. It’s very clean overall with no major wear. The speaker is made by Quincy and has a date code of “767204″ which would be the 4th week of 1952 or 1962. The tubes are Mullard 1022-435 and a GE Electronic. I’m not sure if all of the parts are original to the amp, but everything appears to be vintage. It may take several hours to package your items and send the combined invoice, so please be patient.
