Vintage Heathkit Daystrom AA-100 Integrated Stereo 7591 Tube Amplifier. I tested the amplifier and it is not functional. It does power on, the vacuum tubes are warming up, but there’s only humming noise can be heard from the speaker system. It definitely needs new capacitors. All vacuum tubes are present, as well as all original knobs and regulators. Everything is intact except the fuse holder which is located on the back panel. The amp is clean and looks very nice cosmetically. Please refer to all pictures I took from different angles. Power output: 25 watts per channel. Frequency response: 30Hz to 15kHz. Total harmonic distortion: 0.5%. Input sensitivity: 1.5mV (MM), 200mV (line). Signal to noise ratio: 55dB (MM), 70dB (line). Speaker load impedance: 4? To 16? Valve complement: 2 x EF86, 4 x 12AX7, 2 x 7199, 4 x 7591, 1 x GZ34. Dimensions: 15.25 x 5 x 13.5 inches.

Heathkit Receiver AA-100 Vintage Tube works neat face lighting. Cosmetically the receiver is in good condition for a unit 60 years old. Check out the photos to judge for yourself. I plugged a CD player into Aux2 and attached speakers and it worked with plenty of volume. The sound is slightly distorted but not bad since the capacitors are really old and the switches need to be cleaned. There is a small dent in the back of the chassis (see picture) that could be easily straightened if you remove the fuse holder. Check out the catalogue page pictured that describes this vintage receiver. This is an excellent candidate for a refurbishment and a fascinating piece of audio history marking the time when HI FI moved from monaural to stereo. There is a provision to control stereo separation and mixed-channel speaker to provide “center fill”. I will pack it securely with a heavy duty box lined with foam and the receiver wrapped in bubble wrap. Heathkit AA-100 Vintage Tube Amplifier – Very Beautiful Condition. The Amplifier Audio output is terrific from both Left and Right. Sound is very rich and clear, very nice bass notes, no distortion observed. Although the unit sounds great, all switched, lights, inputs, outputs work the unit is very old and in original condition. This means at this age the unit would benefit greatly by having caps upgraded. There are also some great mods for this unit for those who are into that.
