Vintage Tube Amp

This is a beautiful handmade/hand wired boutique vintage style amp made locally by a maker with 20+ years of building experience. It has a gain structure similar to a vintage Fender, Marshall, and Mesa Boogie. It’s really a nice amp that is made to be cranked up. It’s perfect for a band setting. I have too much music gear and need to start downsizing. This is a one of a kind that has a darker classic rock gain sound as well as fat clean tones. It works perfectly fine but every 6 moths to 1 year you need to spray the reverb inputs with contact cleaner because the reverb sound will start to crackle just a little bit. That takes care of it immediately though. Overall it’s a pretty awesome and unique amp. Here’s the amp specs, also I attached a sheet with some info about the amp builder in the photo section. 2 CH (push/pull master knob). Fender style reverb. 1×12 35 watt all tube combo with Jensen Speaker. 5 -12ax7 pre amp tubes. 2 – EL 34′s. 1 – 5AR4 Rectifier tube. With a Walnut enclosure and cane grillcloth, this Mesa has the Mark I’s classic cosmetic touches, much rarer than the usual tolex-covered reissues. A faithful reissue loaded with a matched quad of Svetlana 6L6GC power tubes, this Mesa delivers the distinct sonic range made famous by players including. Carlos Santana, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Keith Richards and Pete Townshend. A two input affair, this Mark I has a decidedly different flavor for each input. Input 1 is the classic Mesa high gain circuit, designed for rich, textured lead work, and providing a churning powerful sound for chording. Plugging into Input 2 reveals an amp wholly faithful to its classic roots, producing a big, clean, shimmering rhythm sound. While the faceplate has the requisite Gain and EQ knobs, the back panel features both the Reverb and Presence knobs, as well as the Effects Loop and Slave out options. The circuit is clean and stock, with original transformers, impeccable wiring, and top notch components used throughout, with Sprague Atom filter caps and Orange Drop tone capacitors. For sale is a Mesa Boogie Bass 400 amp (not the Bass 400+). This amp cranks and is the one of the loudest best sounding amps Ive ever heard. You can really dial in some amazing tones with this amp with the push pull knobs and EQ. This amp was produced from 1985-August 1989 according to Mesas website.
